I loved the location! We were only a short walk to Bourban St., local bars and restaurants, casino and novelty stores. For the price I hated the customer service of the front desk. They were not welcoming at all even the manager Stacey and unsuccessful with assisting with the mobile key. The room was smaller than expected with an old fashioned coffee maker, mini fridge and a safe. Our bathroom was poorly cleaned and the shower had strings of hair everywhere as well as the linen on the bed. It looked like someone had spit toothpaste on the doors of the bathroom interior which still didn’t get cleaned when I requested they remove the hair. And the bed was hard as a brick. The bar tender was very nice and helpful and told us stories of the history of the area, as well as, the valet driver who provided us with food recommendation. I disagreed with the parking but opted to just do the $42/daily valet because self parking was two city blocks away and still $25/daily with no on the street parking which I would not recommend anyway. The site manager was nice when we voiced our concerns. His staff still fumbled the experience even after he addressed them about our stay. They really grew cold and unwelcoming.…
This is a cool hotel across Canal Street from the French Quarter. It is housed in the old Cotton Exchange Building. The rooms are very unique based off the conversion from the original Cotton Exchange design. The staff was very welcoming. The bar is well stocked with a variety of different beers, wines and spirits. It is an easy walk to all the restaurants and bars in the area. The only thing missing is a M Club!
Everything about this hotel is perfect Breakfast is lovely with some upscale choices Having expresso in the morning makes me a happy camper Staff is so very kind and willing to do everything to make you comfortable So nice to have amenities in the bathroom be of such high qualities (Korres from Greece)
I frequent New Orleans and stayed in many Airbnb's and my go-to is normally Hilton brand. My decision to stay at the AC was definitely well worthwhile. The staff is engaging and extremely friendly. Check in was quick and stress free;. Considering they had 2 buses from a college fraternity checking in. Lots of eating options nearby but I tend to sway off the beaten path and eat like the locals near Frenchmen. I found a new spot to lay my head when I visit this wonderful city. Oh Yeah .. did U mention the free drink coupon during checkin. Consider it the appetizer before you venture out to grab the full New Orleans main course. Cuz if you not coming to drink eat and have fun .....may as well go to Kansas.....😜 Gotta love this place
Outstanding hotel located 1.5 blocks from all the excitement on Canal and Burborne Street. Great rooms, great food and Ms. Alyson behind the bar was the Best! The front desk staff were excellent, Thursday night chef prepared awesome wings and special fries. This is the perfect location, close to all the thrills of New Orleans.
Our stay was OK. Excellent location. Both rooms we stayed in were clean but our first room was very small/cramped and dark (two small half windows). Beds were very narrow - adequate for a single adult but definitely not suitable for 2 people - even kids. After 36h the bathroom door stopped closing. We had to wait all day for the issue to be addressed. Finally in the evening the repairman showed up but failed to fix it. Then we were offered a much larger room with a bathtub and a window which was much more suitable for 2 adults with 2 kids. We didn’t eat or drink at the hotel. Staff was friendly but not always helpful.
A quick walk to Canal and easy access to the Quarters. Love the breakfast and the STAFF is the most professional and super helpful! Clean rooms and great service when needed! Canal can get loud on the weekends so the rooms with windows off the street entry of the hotel may get a little loud while sleeping... Other than than best hotel and locations!!
Near Canal, this is a good hotel for those who want to be in the French Quarter without actually being IN the French Quarter. Everything was clean, comfortable and up-to-date. Good common spaces, nice bar and a terrace (weirdly it is on the sixth floor and not the top floor.) Rooms were nicely appointed and the beds were comfy, bathrooms good sized and it didn't feel cramped. There is a small gym on the second floor, complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby and a decent breakfast, think a step up from Hampton Inn but it's not included. There's a local Daisy Dukes just a few doors down if you want something more NOLA authentic. Coffee maker in the room but didn't try it so couldn't say if it's any good. For the price ($163/night for a double, inclusive all taxes and fees) it's a pretty reasonable option. Staff is very nice, with a special shout out to Broderick who checked us in after midnight and was nicer and more professional than most people at that hour. Pros: The St. Charles street car picks up 100 feet away. Bourbon Street is right across Canal, maybe 200 feet, but this hotel feels far from the noise and chaos of The Quarter. Cons: None Tips: There's a CVS and Walgreens less than three minutes walk away (Walgreens has better beer and wine selection.) Bring back drinks and snacks for a nice relaxing late afternoon on the terrace. …
It took 3 tries to find a decent room - first one was ADA with broken wires on the floor, second one was an “inside room”, no windows, like a coffin. Finally got a decent room. Took over an hour. Then for 3 consecutive days housekeeping decided not to clean the room. Notified the front desk all three days. Ran out of towels and toilet paper. On day 3 sat in the lobby for over an hour while they “rushed” housekeeping. “Compensated” with 2 free drink coupons. I stay at Marriott’s often, but not here again.
This hotel was just so lovely from the staff to the food from the restaurant. I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to katorra and jaquan they helped me figure out where it was safe to travel with me family in the city.
