We loved our stay. We are from New Orleans, but stayed here for our wedding. It couldn't have been a better place to get ready or spend the night. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were all amazing! We can't wait to find a reason to come back.

Only have great things to say about the Henry Howard Hotel. It's a beautiful building in a quaint and charming neighborhood, and reasonable distance from everything in New Orleans. The hotel has a great, clean and minimal style and decor, and the designers did a great job of using the existing space to create unique room designs. Really liked the...

We had a very pleasant stay at the Henry Howard hotel. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good. The staff was friendly. We loved the turn-down service with the warm cookies. The only cons were that the walls were thin, so we could hear noises from outside our room. Also, we stayed in 211, which seemed a...

After many years of visiting New Orleans and spending time in the Quarter, we decided to spend some time staying in this beautiful hotel in the Garden District. We had a room on the second floor with the balcony. The very friendly hotel staff checked us into the hotel and then took us to our room. She opened the window...

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting with relatives while sipping wine in the grand parlor of the New Orleans Henry Howard Hotel. The parlor is a large, lovely room with cozy seating arrangements, charming New Orleans decor, antique furnishings, iced lemon water sitting on a linen cloth with to go cups for those on the run and nicer ware...

The hotel itself is darling and the location was fantastic - modern, sophisticated decor, complimentary coffee and treats in the morning and just a short walk from Magazine St. It seemed like they were understaffed - I felt like I saw the same couple of employees the whole time I was there. The staff was very lovely and helpful -...

I stayed at the HHH this past weekend and my boyfriend and I had an amazing experience. We felt like we took a step back in time the minute we stepped in the door. The hotel embrased it's NOLA charm, but was still very modern and clean, looks like it's been recently renovated. The neighborhood made it easy to explore...

The Henry Howard Hotel is by far the best property in New Orleans. We always prefer to stay in the Garden District. The hotel keeps getting better and better! The customer service is on point. Not to mention all the amazing press the hotel continues to receive.

This hotel is simply beautiful, and very close to Magazine street which has great shopping and dining. However, the communication between management, staff and guests is really, really poor. We were holding an event there, and it seemed everyone from the general manager to the front desk agents all had different answers. It felt like no one was on the...

We loved our stay at the Henry Howard Hotel! The entire place is so charming, and our room was just lovely... clean and beautifully decorated. All of the staff was very helpful and always available for a restaurant or activity recommendation. They even left us surprise chocolate chip cookies one night in our room. You won't regret your stay here!

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
