The Lion Inn is perfect. Situated in a quite neighbourhood with a good bit of energy. There is a nice pool and lovely backyard to use. And the rooms (I’ve stayed now in 4 of them) are very comfortable. Right near good food and good...More
We (Couple; 60 years (male), 47 yrs (female) stayed with the Lions Inn in may 2017. From our room (with shower/bathroom) we overlooked the Inn´s garden. It´s so beautiful! No, it is overwhelming (that's was Simone said)! Breakfast was great. The Landlord, Ed, offered everything...More
Since my 1st review, I’ve been back 2 (it might be 3) times. I think my favorite room i remains #4, which I just departed this morning. One sad change: no more happy hour. Seems the City of New Orleans don’t want folks serving free...More
We spent 4 nights at the Lions Inn in the Marigny District and found it an excellent place to stay. We walked to the French Quarter and Frenchman St. When we needed to go farther, we walked 4 blocks to the Riverfront Streetcar, which came...More
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.

We shared a bathroom while there. Not a problem at all - there was a gentleman in another room that shared but was only there one day and we never crossed paths. Actually, a couple of rooms with private bathrooms had the bathroom outside their room anyway. I would use shared on next visit again. Loved it there

"Look exactly at the description of the inn, if you want to get a room with your own shower/bathroom."
