Stayed here for a business/personal trip in July 2014, I can honestly say that I was happy with our stay. The rooms were clean and quiet, staff was nice, and it's located in walking distance to alot of great places (and just a few blocks from Bourbon St). The only downfall to this hotel is there is no parking unless...

Country Inn and Suites was an excellent place to stay while visiting in New Orleans. It is centrally located, clean, updated and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially the Concierge staff who provided helpful information and gave great suggestions for how to make the most of our visit. In particular, Kathryn O'Connor was extremely helpful, pleasant and...

Initial impressions were not great as we checked in soon after the earliest allowed time and found a queue and one person serving. Things improved from then, particularly in relation to the staff and service levels. Our king-bed room was definitely on the small side but it was well appointed, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bar and...

Glad to hear things went really well with your stay! We definitely shoot for 5 star service, and I am happy to know that everyone did a great job helping make the experience great. I apologize about any delay in check in, as occasionally several will all arrive at the same time, during an otherwise quiet afternoon, and it sounds...

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel and found the location was fantastic. You are only minutes from the French Quarter and the waterfront. The majority of activities that we did were within walking distance. The hotel is very unique, a converted warehouse. We had a kingsize room and while it was on the small side it was clean and...

Thanks for the feedback on your stay! As a historically significant facility, we certainly pride ourselves on being unique, and not your typical hotel. All of our brickwork, and exposed beams date back 150+ years - so you know you are getting an authentic New Orleans experience. I am glad to know you enjoyed it.

This is the second year in a row we chose Country Inn and Suites for Jazzfest. The staff could not be more gracious---especially Pamela, of the breakfast room. There is nothing like being greeted with a big smile first thing in the morning. The location is perfect---walking distance to almost everywhere you want to go. There are fantastic restaurants really...

We spent 3 nights and were very happy with everything about this hotel. The location was just a couple of blocks off Canal, and a short walk to Jackson Square. The staff were the best, attentive and helpful, special mention to Andre from the Bell/Parking staff. When we return to New Orleans we will certainly stay here again. Oh yes,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
