I am a new orleans native, I was only suppose to stay 1 night, but due to a messy breakup and being in the middle of a move my 1 night escape turned into a 10 day temporary home. It wouldn't have been possible without the staff. The bell man saved me from getting mugged, the front desk staff helped...

This was our road trip number 8 and we have been in many hotels/motels such that we do have a good experience to compare. First of all the good things. The location is very nice as all "must see" are in a walking distance. The building as such is historical seen quite interesting and looks amazing from the inside. You...

I am sorry to hear about any noise troubles! I will touch base with the evening team, as we know how important a great night rest is when visiting. We normally have signage reminding guests to be mindful, as well as an overnight security guard monitoring the hotel - but it seems that did not do the trick with this...

Our stay here was based on the fact that this was a convenient location to the areas that we wanted to visit while in New Orleans. I felt that the staff behind the front desk was nice. The room was clean but totally unimpressive. This was my first time to New Orleans, so I am not sure how to compare...

I am sorry to hear that you did not have a 5 star experience with us! We pride ourselves on our location being prime access to all the attractions, while having a nice relaxing spot to come home to and are disappoint to here it didnt line up with your travel expectations. I do hope if you return, you give...

Very comfortable hotel, close to everything. The location was perfect for walking to the WWII Museum, the Confederate Museum, the Aquarium, riverfront Only blocks to the Canal Street and St. Charles trolley lines. Courteous, professional, helpful staff. Comfy beds, clean room, warm dipping pool. Will stay here again

Not the newest og hotels, but nice enough. Arrived and went on to ask if there was any chance of getting an extra night. It was full they said at the front desk, so I logged on and booked a room online... You have to pay for internet if you have more than one device, and it was slow!

I apologize for any troubles with your stay! I know we have had a lot of special events that have had the hotel full, and its possible that in between speaking to the desk and getting back to your room there was a cancellation. I am glad that you were able to stay the extra night though!

Me and my wife enjoyed our five night stay at this hotel. Superb architecture built in five warehouses, our room was large well equipped and perfectly clean, the staff attentive and the breakfast was varied and good. Very close to the French Quarter but without the noise. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The only downside is that the sound communicate a...

Since this hotel's location was on Magazine, not too far west of the Quarter, and had easy access to the Canal cable car for transportation... that made the hotel "work" for us. But we were given a room by an elevator, on first floor, and the drapes did not close so a bright light from the adjoining lot kept our...

While I am disappointed to hear the experience fell short of ideal, I am glad that our team here in New Orleans was able to still make it an enjoyable time for your visit. I apologize about any troubles with the outside lights and will be checking the rooms in that area to make sure all curtains close tightly. Thank...

We had a group for a bachelorette party and booked a suite that had 2 queen beds in a room and then the sofa bed in a divided space within the suite. The room overall was small-had a microwave and mini fridge. I was hoping for the size of a room that a residence inn or spring hill suites would...

Thanks for taking the time to share! I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your stay, and specifically the policy that there is an increased rate for more than 2 adults in a room. While we have seen it as a fairly standard policy across the industry, we still do everything we can to make sure it...

This hotel was clean and in a great location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. This being said I must let other travelers know that after giving the front desk a credit card to keep on file our card was compromised within 24 hours. The number was used at another hotel in California. Could have been just a strange coincidence...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
