The Eliza Jane is a beautiful hotel with very clever design! It was cozy and had a great vibe. It's a great place to pop in for a drink! We were greeted by incredibly kind and helpful staff. The staff was the highlight of the stay and they were very proud of their city and ready to help! There was a few things in our room not working which weren't a big deal in and of themselves. One day, despite being gone from early morning to late evening, housekeeping wasn't able to make it to our room and we had to call to request fresh towels. Again, not a big deal. One time we picked up our car from valet and clearly someone had been smoking weed in it. The smell didn't dissipate until the next day. (when we mentioned it to the attendant she reacted with genuine concern and said she'd speak to her manager about it. Again, fantastic staff!) All these things by themselves aren't a big deal, but when put together it was disappointing. We had decided to splurge for a higher end experience and left feeling like we didn't get the value out of it. …
The hotel is very beautiful and unique. Great location near Ruby Slipper Cafe and Sazerac House. Within walking distance to other locations and street car stop only a block or two away to reach the more distant destinations.
I chose the Eliza Jane as I didn’t want to be in the French Quarter and had planned to spend much of the time in the bougie Garden District….perfect choice! $10 Uber rides and walkable to Bourbon Street. And, the Eliza Jane is COOL….great outdoor space, huge bar area and lounge and the guest rooms with super high ceilings and large windows are quintessential NOLA. Customer/guest service was top notch and friendly. Comfy bed, clean spaces, spacious bathroom…granted I splurged a bit and had the corner suite. A few missteps…housekeeping didn’t restock items and guests are completely without food and beverage during lunch and early afternoon. That aside, great stay, fab location near EVERYTHiNG!!!!
Cute boutique hotel with a relaxed NOLA vibe. Rooms on the 3rd floor have to use a separate elevator that sometimes doesn’t work, great outdoor space, lounge and bar area.. but never saw anyone acting as bartender. Disappointing because this would have been a great place to relax with a cocktail. We were told our rooms were ready early, thankfully because we were soak & wet from the rain. The downside is that our room were not completely set up and ready. We were missing toiletries, robes, and our complimentary bottled water in both rooms, and a cleaning cloth was left on the counter in one of the bathrooms. The rooms were dimly lit, but that was the vibe. Both rooms had big floor to ceiling windows with what looked like a good view, except the windows were really dirty and moldy that you could barely see through them. The hotel has great potential, just seems a little short staffed. We will stay here again in hopes that we truly get that Big Easy experience.…
Hotel is located in quick walk of many sights for New Orleans. WWII museum, dock, French quarter, bourbon street were all an easy walk. Further the hotel is far enough from Bourbon street that we had no issues with partiers or late night revelers. Hotel staff were very friendly and always helpful. Place had a unique look to it and not just another Hyatt clone hotel. Highly recommend for the experience, look and comfort.
We loved this hotel! The location was great, walkable to the waterfront or French quarter and easily accessible to the street car to go the other direction into the garden district. Some bad reviews recently had us concerned but the hotel was honestly wonderful. Very cool vibe with low lighting and lots of cozy sitting spaces in the lobby/bar with a fireplace. Our room was also great, we paid extra for the corner suite to have windows overlooking two streets. Not sure I would do that again as we overlooked an alley with dumpsters, but maybe other corner rooms give a better view. The room itself was very spacious and had a separate seating area which was nice. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and gave us all kinds of advice. My one and only complaint was that they need to get bigger trash cans on the first floor or empty them more frequently. They were regularly overflowing which took away from the nice ambiance of the lobby/bar area and was just annoying to not be able to throw away my coffee cup. We would be happy to return on our next trip to New Orleans!…
We booked Hyatt Prive for the stay during MLK weekend and we enjoyed everything, from the bar to the restaurant! We were also upgraded to an interior suite! Typically Hyatt Prive bookings come with a welcome amenity, and we didn’t receive one :(. But we got an interior suite so I’m willing to let that go. This is a really cool hotel and not too far from everything!
Very clean and comfortable. Good location although not so central as other hotels. No buffet breakfast. The breakfast was very expensive but it was nice and tasty (I would go elsewhere for a cheaper option).
Love the old building with all the modern updates. Really beautiful and well maintained. Excellent location close to the French quarter. Restaurant has a nice breakfast.Huge portions, albeit pricey. Great bar and lounge areas.
Love this hotel! Very unique and the food and service were excellent. Rooms very clean. Had some amazing breakfasts there. Staff was always available and ready to help whether getting an uber, ect. I would definitely stay here again.
