I booked 3 nights here. Can't complain about that because the rooms where free because I gamble at their casinos. Well It was a late 11 pm check in and wouldn't you know my room was "Out of service". It was embarrassing because I went there with a date. Oh well. They then put me up at Loews for the...

The room was very nice and the staff was friendly. It would have been better, if there had been a fridge in the room though. Harrah's gave me free rooms with a fee per day of around fifteen dollars. It was a good deal.

Not my first time there, but I must say, after 3 or 4 visits, the Experience never, ever disappoints, only gets BETTER!! The hotel staff is 2nd to NONE!! From Bellman Kenneth, to the wonderful warm staff at the front desk like young man Alexander, it's truly magnificent to be made to feel so "welcome" and "important"......The Casino(available across and...

We stayed at Harrah's only one night pre cruise on Oct 29th.. The hotel was lovely, very small lobby and the room fairly clean but kind of small. I had requested a King bed with a city view and got a hearing impaired room with a view of the parking tower...so close the people in the tower waved to us...

Just returned from New Orleans. Great location because lots to do day and night. In day we were Tilley tourists and at night in the casino. Ate too many Poboys, all very good and everyone was very nice,

Loved every minute of my stay here. Very friendly staff always greeted us no matter what time of day and always extending offering of help even on the elevator. From the moment of check I noticed the hotel smelled fresh and clean; from the hallways to the room itself. Bed is comfortable loved the option of a soaking tub or...

We stayed here prior to a cruise and it was great. location. Is in walking distance to everything, room was clean and comfortable and the casino was big with lots of various machines. It was like New Orleans was our first port of call on our Caribbean cruise.

We were part of a group of 3 couples. The front desk really went over and above our expectations to get all of us rooms on the same floor. The staff was exceptionally friendly but professional. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms very nice. Huge bathroom with a sunken tub (no jets though). We had a gorgeous view of the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

“If you can score one of higher rooms, facing the Mississippi, especially a suite, it is well worth it for the view. Keep in mind it is a working river so there will be the sounds of the tugboats, trains, etc if you're on lower floors.”
