Wonderful as always. Staff was friendly as always and hotel was comfortable and clean. Always a welcoming feeling, like coming home. Annie was a real treat and brought our breakfast with a smile...and our room was taken care of perfectly!

Loved this hotel! Love the history the architecture and the overall feel, and the location is perfect and convenient to most all highlights of the area. The staff was very pleasant. And breakfast in bed was a plus that no other hotel has ever provided. I will definitely book here again.

The staff I encountered was wonderful, and according to a tour guide (not associated with the hotel) the second floor is haunted, However, the closet rail was just a thin board that could only support one jacket and two shirts hanging, the beds were incredibly LOUD (could not sit or move on it without very loud sounds that woke me...

We loved the location, the flair and atmosphere of the hotel, and the super friendly service. Just two things I would like to see improvement on: The mattresses seem to be old and worn, they're too soft, so we woke up with aching backs after the second night at the hotel. The free continental breakfast only consisted of one croissant...

Loved this hotel, so much history attached to it! We were able to walk in without a reservation. Perfect location too!! Close to all the shops and bars yet just far enough away to escape the noise and get some sleep.

My friend and I stayed overnight at the hotel, and enjoyed the vintage decor and learning the history of the building. The two male receptionists working morning and night shift were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay.

Excellent location - especially if you book a room with a balcony, because if you don't want to join in the mix you can watch the parade of characters down Royal. Very comfortable bed and large, clean room. The delivered breakfast was the highlight of our day (warm croissant and rich coffee). A special thanks to Brooke, Brenda, Judith an...

Bed had stains and hair. Bathroom was very dirty. We all slept in our clothes because we didn't want to actually touch the sheets. Toilet was very dirty. Orange juice had something floating in it. Won't stay here again

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
