My wife and I visited NOLA for her conference, but it was more mini-vacation than work. Hotel was very good to great. Would highly recommend. Well maintained and very friendly staff. Like many hotels in that area they have no hotel parking. They valet, or you can self park a couple of blocks away. The location was in the "Arts"...

I have not written a bunch of reviews on Trip Advisor. When i do write a review, it is because I am so overwhelmed (positively or negatively) by the stay. Honestly, most of our hotel stays are generally, fine. That is not true of our stay at the Renaissance. We rarely get away from home without our children. When we do,...

I'm generally a big, big fan of Renaissance properties. I find they usually have a local touch that their Marriott peers don't have, and often the rooms are more stylish and premium. Not here. While I appreciate many of the bonuses about this hotel (location, a nice lobby and small size) it fails to deliver on many of the things...

I had a chance to stay for business and as usual I selected Renaissance based on staying at this brand of hotel in other cities. A Renaissance usually has an upscale Concierge Room.... not the case here. They had a room with coffee, water and soda. Also included were bagged snacks and breakfast bars. The room was small. No place...

We spent 9 days at this gorgeous hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and resourceful (Leah our Navigator!). We used the rooftop hot tub and pool every day. The decor is modern and very clean. 10 min walk to the French Quarter. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location near quarter, riverwalk, casino, streetcar, bus. Several bustling restaurants and bars right outside the doors. Never heard the street noise despite being on the 2nd floor. Quick ride to Garden District. Super friendly staff. Roof top pool nice in the heat. They had live music in the gallery area- super cool.

The hotel is very nice. The lobby was very clean with nice art on the walls. The hotel has a restaurant/ bar. We did not eat there but seemed like a cool little place to hang out. The room and bathroom was clean. The safe in the room gave us trouble (would not open back up) but that problem was...

This hotel is conveniently located in the trendy new warehouse/arts district. It is nicely appointed and the rooms are clean and spacious....at least ours was. The food in the restaurant/bar is quite good even if you have to freeze while eating because the temperature is so cold. The one issue we had was that they are apparently extremely short on...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A historic setting, contemporary style, and a unbeatable location near New Orleans' French Quarter and in the heart of the trendy food mecca of the Warehouse District: all of this and more elevates the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel to an unforgettable New Orleans experience. Our building is a former warehouse, dating from the early 20th century; we've preserved a sense of old-world elegance in our surroundings, while simultaneously infusing a thoroughly contemporary sense of convenience and art. Please note that our restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and we look forward to unveiling a stunning new restaurant to our guests in early 2015. For now, we recommend that our guests enjoy the many amazing New Orleans dining experiences within a short walking distance of our front doors, such as Cochon, Emeril's, Root, Tommy's Bistro, and many more. Our Navigators will be delighted to help you discover the best possible cuisine during your stay in New Orleans. ... more   less
