We love fun funky hotels. So, when I read another reviewers comments about the noise, I totally discounted it thinking he/she was just being grumpy. After all, you expect some level of noise at a hotel. Not like this. First of all, being on Canal Street might be ideal in terms of proximity, but my suggestion would be to pick...

Dear valued guest. I'm so sorry that your experience wasn't ideal. The city does tend to be on the noisy side during special events and we do try to minimize the effects on our guests but it seems we have fallen short for you. I hope you give us another try on your future travels. Sincerely, D Hill

This hotel is in the perfect location. Walking distance from everywhere and close but not too close to Bourbon street. The hotel itself is very clean and decorated in a fun fashion. The staff is great, the bar is nice and they had great music on Saturday nights. They have a burlesque show on Friday nights and a pool table...

A beautiful hotel with a lovely decor. The management and staff were fantastic. The crew that worked July 4, 2016 weekend was absolutely the best. Our room was great and so was the hospitality rendered. They acknowledged our military status and everyone from the bellman to valet offered fine dining and great hot spot tips. I will definitely return to...

Great attention to problems which were small but time consuming.Bedside chocolates, changing of towels twice daily in a most comfortable bed. Excellent location in French quarter. Quick walk to anywhere. Go to the Central Grocery across from Cafe du Monde for the original Muffuletta sandwich; one half feeds two.

I ended up in New Orleans 1 night on work. My coworker and I wanted to stay somewhere in or near the French quarter so we picked this place. It's only a few minute walk from bourbon street, so it's in a great location! The staff were all super awesome! Both of us thought our rooms were very cool! The...

My partner and I stayed at the Saint during Southern Decadence and enjoyed our stay. The Saint is conveniently located near the French Quarter, while not being directly on Bourbon. The hotel is a Marriott property and is very modern and hip. Breakfast was great and the rooms were comfy. By far the best part of our stay was the...

This upscale hotel is close to many attractions and the trolley line. One immediately noticeable attribute in the attractive room was three places to sit other than the bed! You should note however, when exiting the elevator, it is extremely dark. From there, to the room, was only lit with blue ceiling lights. It took some adjustment- and, I wondered...

The lobby is "Wow!" but Marriott delivers Marriott versus high end luxury. Location and staff first rate, attention to detail not so much. Not ultra chic, but not ultra bad. It is a strong 4 star thanks to the bar cabaret show with a talented balloon girl performer and crisp young pretty people at check in.

We visited NOLA on 9/9-9/11/16 for a quick birthday getaway and selected The Saint because of my loyalty to Marriott & its proximity to the French Quarter. Turned out to be an excellent choice! The staff was pleasant, and checked us in without delay. I was a little disappointed that my mobile check-in didn't work for some reason but they...

My husband and I just got back from a week in New Orleans. We stayed at The Saint Hotel and everything about our stay was perfect. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable of the city. Our room was clean and absolutely stunning. The location is PERFECT. It's close to pretty much anything you want...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
