I was in New Orleans for two nights for work. I've stayed at a range of hotels in New Orleans over the years but had never tried the Saint. It was really cool. In fact, it's so cool looking that your first impression may be inadequacy at the coolness factor of it all. The lobby with high ceilings and flowy...

My husband and I always stay at The Saint while visiting NOLA. In my opinion it's the best hotel on the quarter. The Saint is right on canal and is walking distance from bourbon and royal but far enough that you don't hear all the noise.

We visited NOLA for spring break and stayed 4 nights here. We really enjoyed it. Great location, close to everything. Funky and fun décor. We saw some of the reviews about noise and requested a room on the back side, we stayed in 601 and it was very quiet, no problems with street noise or neighbors at all. I thought...

I stayed for one night and had a fantastic experience from the moment I walked in. Courtney checked me in quickly and was very sweet. The other young lady made small talk as well, making it a very pleasant first impression. While waiting for the elevator, I overheard the valet giving suggestions to tourists and he seemed genuine in his...

My girlfriend and I stayed for 4 nights, April 10-14. We were lucky to book through a friend who works for Marriott at a price of $104 a night. We were given a 5th floor room, facing Canal St. For the most part, it was a quiet street however the last night, ambulance/police sirens were blaring but not at the...

I actually got in town the night before and stayed at a sister property. I didn't think it could get any better, but was pleasantly surprised that my room was ready quite early. I expected to drop off my bags and comeback later. The early check-in allowed me to go run around the French Quarter which was easily accessible from...

What a Jewel in the French Quarter! Love this hotel! The building is 110 years old and has been updated with a modern look while still keeping the old charm of New Orleans. Our room on the 7th floor was just beautiful. Clean, quite and loved the exposed brick on the wall. The lobby/bar/restaurant is decorated perfectly! The location could...

Okay, I fell in LOVE with this hotel! While booking our trip to NOLA, we were looking for a Marriott so that we could use my fiancee's Marriott gift card. We stumbled upon this place and was very intrigued by the whole "saints and sinners" theme. We learned that we couldn't use his gift card due to this hotel being...

This is a "quirky" hotel that is Well placed for the French Quarter, without being on the doorstep of Bourbon Street (which for me was a plus!). The bedroom "styling" was not to my liking, that said it came with all the amenities of a four star hotel and was spotlessly clean and I did like the exposed brickwork, it...

Very expensive over the weekend due to upcharges during the French Quarter Festival ($450+ night) - overall charge for 5 nights was $1700. The staff was great...met "French Toast" at check-in; the next several days we were greeted by "Special K." It was nice to be acknowledged (in a fun sort of way) when walking through the lobby either coming...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
