Firstly I really did like the hotel but we arrived on the last night of Essence and the room rate was USD 389 as opposed to USD 129 for the other nights. As I booked a package I didnt realise (my fault!). We were given...More
The valet guys and the people at the desk are always so nice to us! Even when you’re hungover and dying they’re always super friendly to you. The only thing I wish they had is complimentary breakfast. Even some bagels would’ve been awesome. They have...More
My belongings were stolen from my room. The staff tried to argue me down and make excuses. The manager did nothing. They told me after I file a police report that they would look into the matter. The staff there was horrible and have no...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

There is valet parking available, which can be a bit pricey. Honestly, if you don't have to have a car with you, I wouldn't. The hotel is located about two blocks from Bourbon Street (about a 5 min walk, if that) and also very close to other tourist spots (like Jackson Square, Garden District, etc.) You can always uber/lyft to places for a cheaper price than the valet parking price.
