Terrific charm of a hotel. I had my 79 yr old mom with me and she loved it. Extremely convenient to the St Charles line, and Canal St Decor was very cool and creative with the New Orleans feel. Staff was exceptional! Everyone at the hotel was outstanding.
This hotel was awesome from check in to check out. SHOUT OUT to Rasmus Jordan at the front desk. He went above and beyond to insure our stay was perfect and memorable. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was awesome at the restaurant, which I highly recommend for the price. Location was perfect as everything in the French Quarter was walking distance but far enough from the noisy areas to get some good rest at night. New Year's fireworks on the Mississippi were amazing.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Here are the pros and cons: pros: + The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The first room we got had this annoying high pitch buzzing noise, so I complained to the person at the front desk, who immediately offered to move us to a different room. Problem was resolved immediately. + Great location: close to the French Quarter (just a block away), but not nearly as noisy. St.Charles streetcar stop just around the corner, which takes you directly to uptown. + Nice restaurant and bar. cons: - Windows are not exactly soundproof, so if you have a room facing the streets, you shouldn't expect the windows to shield you from the noise from traffic/streetcar/singing drunk people on weekend nights. - Rooms are on the smaller side.
Solid three star hotel. Nice staff and seemed updated and modern. Very clean and comfortable. Very well located . Room was comfortable. However not going to win me over from Marriotts or Hiltons. I had a couple of days to spend in New Orleans so thought I would give this place a try. Maybe I am spoiled due to my Marriott and Hilton status but this IGH hotel does not give me a late checkout that was helpful or a breakfast even though I am Platinum member. Maybe they are not trying to take people from other programs. Any rate pleasant enough stay but I’m sticking with Marriott and Hilton brands. But if a traveler does not have status in another program this is a solid place to stay. They have a bar and restaurant downstairs and a decent lobby.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights for our anniversary. This hotel is in a great location. Super close to the French Quarter but far enough away from the craziness. It is right on the trolley line. There was a little nightly noise but nothing to make us lose sleep. Hotel was clean and the staff was excellent. Food was very good and the full service bar was good for a night cap. Parking was a little expensive and a bit chaotic but was very convenient.
we stayed here for four nights last week, the location is fantastic, right on the streetcar line, two blocks from bourbon street. the hotel looks like new and is very clean. four of us couples visited. upon check in, two of us got rooms with no closet, two with. no big deal, the rooms are a little small, but the amenities are great, bed very comfortable. now what needs work. the blond gal at reception all week, was not at all friendly nor helpful, very blunt answers for any question, but at least she was presentable. i will say that on our last day, the young man at the front desk was quite helpful. the restaurant… the food is good, especially the hamburger is to die for, breakfast is plentiful. the servers mixed up our orders more then once as they don’t write anything down. they seem to be everywhere (drinking coffee, eating, on their phones), they need to concentrate on what they are doing. the hispanic bus lady was much more on her toes, serving coffee, etc. the appearance of these restaurant and bar employees leaves a lot to be desired for such a great new hotel. they really take away from the whole vibe. long scraggly hair, baggy jeans and dirty tennis shoes, the only uniform would be the Common Interest (name of the restaurant) t shirt they wear, and i swear one of the young men wore the same green one every day. these are all young kids working here. i write this in the hope that there is a manager or owner who is interested in the appearance and customer service aspect of this great hotel. it is so important. we took a tour based out of a similar hotel, not as well located and not new at all, but the workers there were friendly, well groomed, even asked us if we needed anything while we waited. what a difference. attitude is everything, and it sure would make a difference at indigo hotel appearance helps!…
Stayed two nights for a business trip. (Wish I could have stayed longer to explore New Orleans...). Hotel Indigo was very centrally located to everything a person would want to see, but on quieter streets. Lobby and room were bright, modern, and super clean. Security was good. Hotel employees were friendly and helpful. Liked the Keurig machine in the room and generous number of coffees. Would definately stay here again.
Beautiful rooms and accommodations. Comfy beds, great food, friendly staff. Valet service was GREAT! Tanisha Johnson with Premier Parking was most helpful and so nice to our family. She has great customer service skills!!! We all fell in love with her!
The hotel was very convenient and within walking distance of just about everything in the French Quarter but far enough away to avoid most of the street noise. We did not hear any noise from the hallway or adjoining rooms. Our room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. However, we were given an ADA room without asking if that would be acceptable. We didn't request a room change but wish we would have as the ADA bathroom had absolutely no space for toiletries. It was a very small sink and we had to put all items on the floor. Also being ADA, the shower was a hand-held which made it very difficult to adjust for someone not in a wheelchair. Also, the floor outside the shower stall always got wet. The interior of the room had a very small one person desk due to the need to have wheelchair access, no other place to sit. It's great that there are ADA rooms, but if you don't require one, then definitely ask for a non-ADA room. The desk clerks were not at all friendly. We stayed two nights and interacted on several occasions with them. However, they avoided eye contact, never smiled and acted like we were inconveniencing them. However, the valet person was very friendly and helpful and the valet service was very good. If in the area again, we would stay here due to the convenience, cleanliness and attractiveness of the hotel.…
Everyone in the hotel and restaurant was very polite, cooperative and helpful. Then hotel was very clean and in a very convenient location. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Parking was very much appreciated. We will certainly be back and will recommend to our family and friends.
