We recently were in New Orleans for a wedding and stayed at the Terrell House. We traveled with our 10 month old daughter and it was really easy at this B&B. We stayed in a 2-room suite in the cottage across the street and the staff had a pack and play set up for us in the second room. They...

This was a weekend get away for us. It was perfect and relaxing. The house is beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. You felt right at home. Loved the location as well close to French Quarter and downtown as well as all the dining and shopping on Magazine.

My son and his wife lived directly across the street from the Terrell House for five years, so we have stayed there periodically. Terrell is wonderful. The location makes it accessible by foot to the French Quarter (30 minutes), or to St. Charles for the trolley. It's a short car ride to the excellent restaurants and shopping further on down...

Terrell House was a lovely setting for my daughter's beautiful wedding. The staff were very accommodating especially Arthur, the operation's manager. He was always ready and willing to help. The rooms at the inn were great as was the daily breakfast. Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable.

Why on earth would anyone want to stay in a sterile, canned hotel room when one could immerse (herself) in this gracious experience? Breakfast by Luke was spectacular every morning, and I felt very well taken care of. The location in a neighborhood was ideal to stay close to Magazine Street shopping while being tucked away in your beautifully courtyarded...

We love the Terrell House location between French Qtr and Uptown with all the charm of Magazine Street at the front doorstep. The Creole House is a great setup for families with the extra living room, and kitchenette for entertaining. It's clean and impeccably decorated but the extra touches, (live orchids !), fine linens, and gracious furnishings make it feel...

We happened on this B&B by chance, spending 3 wonderful nights there, and both agreed it was outstanding! I would recommend it in a heartbeat and look forward to coming back some day. The owner & staff were genuinely warm, generous and welcoming, and the home and our room were beautiful. Breakfasts were deliciously prepared by their chef. The courtyard...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
