This is our favorite place we've stayed at in New Orleans so far. The property is beautiful and charming and located in a great neighborhood. We loved our room, which was impeccably clean and quiet at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. I especially loved the courtyard--what a lovely place to relax after a day of exploring the city.... More

INNKEEPER’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 4 April 2016

We are frequent visitors to New Orleans and we know the city well. We would not consider residing anywhere but Terrell House for short stays or long. The graciousness and stateliness of Terrell House set just the right tone for visitors to this historic city. Every creature comfort is seen to: the rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfasts are... More

The main house is gorgeous, though be prepared to climb many stairs to get to your room. The rooms are well worth the climb; beautifully appointed w/ antique furniture. Breakfast is absolutely delicious. The location is near the east end of Magazine street, close to the central business district, but only a few blocks away from great shops. The staff... More

I cant imagine a finer experience than what the Terrell House provides for our comfort and experience. The breakfast is outstanding and the service 5*. The owner has developed this bed and breakfast into the premium of this historic city.

Setting was lovely. Nice room, lovely court yard outside of rooms. Use of the actual house was limited and not available in early morning. Be sure to make any special requests you have for breakfast in advance of arrival.

Miss Linda (owner) and her staff are absolutely amazing. My now fiance and I just returned from our second stay here and again could not be more complementary of this bed and breakfast. The house is a beautiful historic property, beautifully decorated with antique pieces, but importantly, lacks the commonly associated musty smell. It is located on a nice street... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
