Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

This is a very good hotel if you want to see sights in the French Quarter and the CBD such as the Natational WWII museum. But it is noisy especially at night, but I had ear plugs so it was not too bad.
We stayed here for 1 week and can’t say enough about it...it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed like family, from the bell staff to the concierge to the AMAZING front desk staff!

They must renew the beds, they are noisy, deformed, and so old! This is a well known and expensive hotel you can't save budget on the most important thing, guest confort.
You can observe in the picture how sagging is in the middle.
Hotel was fine.
We had confirmed reservations at one price and the hotel changes the room pricing and raised the rates during our stay at the hotel! Slippery practices at best, As an IHG Platinum member I have come to expect more. Front desk staff...More
