I reserved this location specifically to be in a safe area of the city and slightly away from the FQ action. What I ended up with was a fully packed lobby of 30+ people at all times, half of them unmasked during COVID, despite the posted signs. No linens or towels can be brought to rooms and no housekeeping services so you have to wait in the line of a full lobby over 45mins just for clean towels. Attached photo of the lobby with the SHORTEST line during the whole stay and it was still over a 40 min long wait, just for towels. The convenience area has nothing to offer unless you really appreciate BANG energy drinks. They didn’t even have bottled water available to purchase. There were 2 men hanging out in the lobby and at the front door obviously selling drugs. People would pull up to the front of the hotel with cash in hand and arm out the window and the man would run to the car and hand them something and give them a handshake to take the cash. Entirely too obvious. This went on for all 3 days. The entrance is a drive thru drug distribution center. When I inquired about getting my money back and canceling my stay so that I could move to a different hotel that would be safer for my daughter, The woman at the front desk informed me the hold on my card wouldn’t be released for at least a week and I would lose my deposit for late cancellation. Due to not having additional funds, we were forced to stay and just keep the door locked. Everyone staying was instructed to put their dirty towels, linens, and trash outside of their room doors for collection due to not having housekeeping so the hallways were constantly piled with trash and dirty linens/towels. I guess housekeeping is unsafe due to Covid but, it’s acceptable to have over 30 people piled into the lobby at all times waiting to check in it get towels. Many not wearing masks or taking any precautions at all. Doesn’t seem to make sense. In positive remarks, I will say the sanitizer stations were always full and the room was cleaned very well prior to our arrival. To be noted: the bars advertised online were both closed, despite the rest of the city being reopened and all the stools were full of people anyways because they were waiting around the lobby. The rooftop is closed, the fitness center is closed. The parking is actually $20 PLUS an additional service fee so the price listed online is inaccurate. I would call ahead before booking fans ensure that what you are seeking will be available before you arrive or I would just stay somewhere else in the city where they have all their amenities open and available for the same room price, where they take real precautions to keep you safe, and the lobby isn’t a staged waiting area for drive thru drug deliveries.…
Nice hotel that is a good location when traveling with a family. Some prefer to be in the middle of it all, but this CBD area hotel allows you quick access to the convention center, French Quarter, Garden District and other attractions. A few worn things in public areas (carpet, doors, lights) but nothing alarming. The only downside is the $35/night valet parking: but that's pretty normal for hotels in a compact city like New Orleans
Great location for C. C. Efficiently decorated inside w/great breakfast as always. People nice at front desk and helpful as well. I appreciated the front desk and management assistance as I was with a group for Mardi Gras. What's it lacking? A sense of warmth and color. Halls are laid out with an odd configuration which caused some of my guests a bit of consternation - still, a reasonable cost and excellent customer service sold me. Have no issues returning next Mardi Gras season!
Did not book this hotel but was sent there from Towne Suites as they had sold our rooms!!!!!!!!!!! We were not disappointed by this hotel as it is in a good location, quite near the river walk outlet shops and in walking distance to Bourbon street and The French Quarter. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were all very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. This hotel also has a swimming pool but unfortunately because we did not know we were staying there we did not take our swimsuits. Would recommend this hotel.
The first night my room was on the side of hotel across the street from a bar that had very loud music until 4am. I asked for another room facing courtyard. Girl at front desk told me they try to put younger, hipsters in the room I was in as music on weekends usually goes on until 5am. Be aware older non-hipsters. Second night little gymnasts ran up and down the halls while their moms were out on the town. Not hotel's fault but wish they would stress to parents not to leave kids unattended.
