My husband and I took a road trip from NY. Had a great time in New Orleans staying at Royal St Charles. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Very clean and great location. Walking distance to French Quarter.

Dear Miriam L - That is a long drive - we are impressed with your road trip fortitude! You must have enjoyed the short walk and endless exploration available on foot in the French Quarter after that drive! We are thrilled we were at the end of your yellow brick road and hope to host you at the end of...

Clock not working , faulty plug. TV not working in our friends' room. Barking dog in adjoining room woke us up, I reported. But in all we were pleased with valet and front desk. Very accommodating. Hope to return.

Hotel located in a convenient area. Housekeeping failed to clean the room the second day. Coffee pot was never washed, TV did not work on the first day. Outlets were very loose, found it difficult to find good outlets to charge our phones.

Dear K3523AKannap - Thank you for taking the time to report the issues experienced during your recent stay. We apologize that your room was not serviced on your second day. The hotel was fine. Parking was an issue unless you want to spend $38 for valet and $20 for self parking which is over 3 blocks away. Valet should be a reduced rate if you are staying at the hotel. It seems that they would make some type of arrangement or offer some type of shuttle service to and from...

Dear johncM6812NE - Thank you for taking the time to post a rating and feedback regarding your recent stay. We apologize, but most New Orleans hotels do not have onsite parking due to the unique and historical layout of the downtown area. We apologize for the three block walk to self-park but we hope valet and the much shorter walk...

Not lots of space but enough for a quick vacation. Shower curtain was way too short to keep water in the tub. Tissues ran out, weren't replaced. Room was cleaned, not all towels replaced. Right before Mardi Gras, no one made us aware that we needed bracelets until the night before our check out

This hotel was fine for an overnight. Room was extremely small and no counter space in the bathroom, but the Wifi was decent and water pressure good. Only a double bed in the room. This was a convenient spot to the French Qtr and the parade route. We were told we had a balcony room and we did but it was partially blocked by a cement pillar and we could see part of the parade. for a better view we went down to the street. Noise level was loud at night, no fault of...

The hotel met our expectations and staff was very friendly!!! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Wish I had a room with a window. Enjoyed having a PJ's in lobby to grab coffee and snacks. Jason at the door was exceptional.

Good location on St. Charles Ave on parade route and near Canal Street and French Quarter. Parade right out front. PJ's Coffee in lobby. Valet parking a little high but self park for $20.00 per night just several blocks away. Also many restaurant choices close by.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
