The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, the desk and nightstands were quite useful and had plugs for electrical appliances which was a nice touch. The bathroom and its amenities were nice although it lacked a close-up mirror. The staff were helpful in all interactions and the availability of coffee...

Good things - This place is well-located for the budget conscious Convention Go-er. Bed comfortable. Room quiet. coffee, microwave and frige in room. Bad things -- Air conditioning in lobby down too low for me, a jolt every time I walked in the door. Lobby area not inviting at night. They keep the lights turned up bright like a supermarket...

Upon arrival, I had to call and have the room vacuumed, because it was not clean. I tried to take a shower and I had no hot, or warm water. I tried to get on the internet and that was not working. The breakfast in the morning was not edible. Please do yourself a favor and book another hotel. You...

Spent two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, but dated and in need for renovation (bathroom light fixture rusted, bathtub finish worn, chair stained, springs of sofa coming thru padding, etc). Our room was close to the elevator and we had to listen to the related noise most of...

Great location (close to convention center and French Quarter). Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice rooms. Only complaint was about lack of food. No room service until 5p, and it ends at 10p. If you get breakfast in the lobby, you expect a regular buffet, but they turn around and stick it in the microwave. Only food in snack shop...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They anticipated my needs and found answers to my requests if they did not have an answer initially. Room service was prompt and delicious. Breakfast was very good. Room had necessary amenities and was clean.

Well located, close to convention center; good restaurants nearby. Easy walk into French Quarter (20 minutes); Hotel breakfast surprisingly good value. Staff friendly and attentive. No real negatives to speak of. Pool and ok gym on-site. Reasonably quiet location so that choice of room shouldn't be an issue.

The room was clean but very outdated to be a Hilton Hotel. The toilet seat was not bolted down properly. The refrigerator did not get cool at all. I would stay here again if it's just for one night. I would not stay here for a whole weekend!!

Very nice hotel that is convention to to convention center and WWII museum, not so much the French Quarter. The front desk can be hard to contact. We called three times on the way up and no one ever answered. While we were there Asia was extremely helpful as where the valet guys. The room was clean and I love...

This hotel was booked for me by one of my travel agents, it is ok for a couple of nights stay on business, but if i were to stay for pleasure, i would maybe choose the french quarter option. Same hotel chain there. Overall good bed, good breakfast but a little expensive.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
