I can't recommend this place enough. Stephen is so warm and friendly, with great recommendations of all sorts from museums to walking tours to parades to bars. He made me and my boyfriend feel very welcome, and even gave us a ride across town when...More
We stayed for two nights (all that were available) in the guest house. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet, in a great location. Stephen is a remarkably helpful host. We will definitely want to stay there on future trips to NOLA.
My husband and I have been staying at this guest house since our son moved to New Orleans two years ago. We stayed at a quiet hotel near Canal street on one occasion but we returned to the guest house on the next visit. The...More
Absolutely wonderful! What a find! I was there solo, but the house will accommodate up to six. Beautiful courtyard and very relaxing. You have the entire house to yourself. Nice little kitchenette with cereal, fruit and granola bars, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Comfortable living...More
My husband and I try to visit New Orleans at least once a year, and we stay in a different location each time, always looking for the best and most authentic neighborhood experiences outside of the tourist-centric French Quarter. Out of all the locations we've...More
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
