I’ve stayed at this hotel two other times. I am not sure if COVID has changed the service but it was basically non existent on my third stay. I was told housekeeping would not be cleaning rooms daily due to Covid at check in but I didn’t realize that meant the room would be not clean upon my entry. We did have clean sheets but the floors had not been vacuumed and the bathroom may or may not had been cleaned. The shower vent was full of dust particles and the sofa has what appeared to be a urine stain. The headboards had not been wiped down. You have to pickup towels from the front desk. My other two stays I booked a king but this stay I booked a double. The superior double room is smaller than any NYC hotel I’ve stayed in. The hotel is centrally located but bring your own cleaning supplies. If you’re concerned about social distancing, there is a sign at the elevator stating 3 people or same family but most don’t apparently read and many do not wear masks when walking the halls or elevators. …
I don’t want to be overly critical of this hotel, as I visited in the middle of the Covid pandemic, but things were very slow and lonely. But also quiet, which is a plus. I almost felt like I had the place to myself. Their lobby, including the modern-ish bar, was completely shut, as was the pool and sun bathing complex on the roof of the four-story base building. It did look appealing, and had views of the lower downtown area including Harrahs Casino. The check-in process was expeditious and pleasant. The room was very average, although not of average rectangular design. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom amenities were fine. I had a rather nice view looking up Poydras from the hotel’s location, near the base of Poydras. This location is the hotel’s greatest asset, being across the street from the casino, very near the convention center, the associated shopping complex, and riverfront aquarium, as well as three blocks from the lower French Quarter. A quick culinary note-don’t miss Mothers Restaurant across the street (see my review).…
Our time here was wonderful and staff was so kind and helpful with our first New Orleans trip! They gave us wonderful recommendations, the valet was wonderful, and everything in the room was so clean!
The stay was absolutely great. I would recommend this property because of the location and the staff. The location is in walking distance from all the hot spots. The staff was also great! Danny, the chef concierge was so awesome as well as others.
I stayed here for a conference over several days. Several meetings were held at the Windsor Court next door. I chose Le Meridian did the price and location. I was glad I did. First the service was excellent. It was consistent from Check-in to Check-out. Everyone was helpful and cheerful. Location is great! Right across the street from the casino and a nice walk to the French Quarter. The property was well done. My room looked recently renovated. Nice shower/bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Based on price, service and location, this place is hard to beat
