If this place was in the Quarter, it would easily be double the price. Parking is free and is monitored by security and a hospital is next door. The hotel has a cute retro vibe and the room was clean. The staff were friendly and we felt very comfortable staying here with our toddler. The location is great, it’s two streets up from Freret St where there are multiple restaurants, and there are bus stops nearby and everything is within a 15 minute drive. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and real dishes and metal utensils, plenty of towels and little toiletries. The convenience area in the lobby was small and expensive, but that’s why it’s convenient I guess (however they always have coffee going at the coffee station)! There’s a Walgreens and CVS nearby, along with a grocery mart if you need anything! Bonus: next to the parking lot there are wild chickens. My toddler loved watching them run around.

Clean and fresh, every detail taken care of. Reception was friendly and professional, especially desk clerk Amy, breakfast was good. Free parking in a secure and convenient location was a big plus. Will definitely stay here again every time we have the chance.

Location is somewhat strange right by the hospital but walking distance to Tulane, restaurants on Freret excellent. Nice and quiet even though hospital is right next door. The grab and go breakfast is terrible but the coffee is always hot and fresh. The staff is the most friendly and helpful ever!

We had a very good experience for the most part. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable, staff was very pleasant and helpful, and there was plenty of drawer and cabinet space. First problem was a locked safe from prior guest - no big deal, someone came up right away to unlock. Second, the soap tray in the shower was hanging on by two loose screws. This was obvious to me as I wiped down the shower before we used it, so it should have been obvious to housekeeping. It made me wonder if housekeeping really cleaned the shower, because if they did, they could not have missed the broken soap tray, and would have gotten it fixed. (I did not report this issue because I didn’t want someone coming into the room for a second time, and the issue was more of a suspicion about lack of cleaning than the actual broken soap dish.) I also noticed fingerprints on light switches and a sticky feeling to the countertops. (I didn’t downgrade more than 1 star for the cleaning issues because I was planning to wipe down everything anyhow.)
