French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

This hotel was selected as part of our Delta vacation package and we were very pleased. It located in a perfect spot, close to Bourbon Street and all of the activities in the French Quarter. It is also only a couple of blocks to Canal street and we could jump onto the street ca

We loved the hotel location with easy access to everywhere in the French Quarter and transport in general. Check in was pretty ordinary (lacklustre welcome) and it would have been nice to have been given discount vouchers for breakfast locally every morning as there is no in-hous

The big positive here is the location. Easy walking to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. We were traveling through town on a Saturday so paid a big premium. We got a balcony room, which I had read positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately ours was a small door out in a

Response from Ben T, General Manager at Holiday Inn New Orleans - Chateau Lemoyne
Responded 1 week ago
Thank you for taking the time to review the Chateau LeMoyne. I sincerely apologize that you were not pleased with your accommodations. The balcony rooms in the front of the building are usually the first ones to go. As for the maintenance issue, we try our best to keep all equipment in good working order. However, with wear and tear sometimes things break. Our maintenance team makes every effort to take care of these issues. As for the restaurant/lounge, our former vendor decided to walk out. We are aggressively seeking another vendor to take over the operation. We hope you will give us another opportunity to make it right. We look forward to having you back. Best Regards, Ben Turner General Manager

I recently read a review stating that there is a $25 charge per person for a security bracelet, required to enter the hotel. Is this indeed the case?
We only issue bracelets to our guests during Mardi Gras for the safety and security of our guests. Guests are issued bracelets upon check-in and are not charged. We charge a fee for outside persons who are not guests of the hotel but are friends of our guests.

What is the difference between a standard room and 1 or 2 bed room.
Hi ravyperth, the standard room is usually square with one or two beds and the suites we stayed in were longated with the sitting area at the entrance. Great for privacy. The size of the room seemed the same to us. Very enjoyable place to stay
