We arrive at the property and one gentleman takes our luggage. As we are entering through the front doors, there is one bellman watching us open the doors so that the Bellman carrying the luggage can take the luggage inside.... He did not even offer to open the door or assist his coworker with the luggage. Our luggage was dropped...

We stayed for 5 nights last week for our anniversary, and had a WONDERFUL time. The Ritz is such a nice escape after a fun day exploring New Orleans. The beds are amazing - best I've ever slept in, although a little too soft for my husband, who ended up with a back ache. The lounge was so nice just...

This is an excellent hotel to access both luxury appointments and the French Quarter. It's one block off Bourbon Street as you access the Quarter from the rear entrance to the hotel. I would not call it the most luxurious property, particularly for a Ritz-Carlton - but it's finished in traditional New Orleans style which also seems to have a...

We were told that the building housing the hotel was once a department store and that may account for the atypical layout. If you arrive at the Canal Street entrance rather than through the arrivals driveway you'll need to make your own way (no baggage help) inside and up a few stairs to the elevator that will take you to...

We has a great stay with only one comet, for a Ritz Carlton we had to ask for the sleepers instead of just having them in the room. The room feel a little dated. We did have the Best Beignets together with live music in the bar!! A great experience in a different and interesting city.

We moved to the Ritz after one night in the garden district in order to be closer to the "action". We had a beautiful suite on the 15th floor, however our balcony doors leaked and with the Patricia storm system rolling through that weekend, not only did the inside windowsill get soaked, the entire floor and carpet in the bedroom...

As you would expect, the Ritz was a beautiful hotel. The staff is always friendly and the accommodations are always nice. Great location with easy walking to Bourbon street. Close to trolley line. City tours will pick you up right at the hotel.

As with all Ritz-Carlton hotels, the property is beautiful and unique to the area. It was several of the staff that made our brief stay a true pleasure. Sunday, one of the club concierge, was truly helpful, and caring. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, but another standout gentleman was the front door man.The hotel is located right on...

The Ritz in New Orleans is beautiful and has a lot a charm. The rooms were great, the service was great, the fitness room was nice and the tea/jazz room is definitely a great place to hang out. Everything was wonderful. Don't miss drinks out in the beautiful courtyard either! It's also in a great location where you can walk...

My wife and I ate dinner at M-Bistro in the Ritz Carlton and were definitely satisfied with our decision to dine there. The char-broiled oysters were out of this world and my meal of homemade pasta and crab was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Grilled Pork Chop, which was cooked to perfection, but had some grizzle. The ambiance of...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
