All I can say is wow. I had the pleasure of working at this property about 8 years ago so I knew a few things about it before I stayed. The room was fresh, clean and so comfortable! The incomparable Kelly H. in reservations helped us celebrate my friend's birthday with a gorgeous room and a great summer rate. I...

I brought a party totalling four adult women. We felt safe, well-attended and comfortable. It was my birthday, and we attended Jazzfest. The valet got us a car to go to the fair grounds, which dropped us off exactly perfectly--no slogging the streets. Perfect service

Hotel was old world charm though not the nicest Ritz in the US. Rooms were quite small and house keeping was very inconsistent. The assistance we got from the Concierge was Superb. Rudy the Concierge was fabulous. His recommendations and persistence in making wonderful restaurant reservations during a very busy time, made our trip a success. Alice R

The Ritz is conveniently located near Bourbon Street / the French Quarter. The hotel was surprisingly quiet given the proximity to Bourbon Street. The hotel was nice and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom wasn't as nice as some of the other Ritz's that I have experienced. There is live jazz in the lounge area at night which is...

The staff at the Ritz really make you feel like a VIP. They were very accommodating and very polite. Each evening was a special stand with freebies. One night was a packet for those attending Jazz Fest that included a rain poncho, hand wipes and sunscreen. A couple other nights they had free samples of really yummy gumbo. The rooms...

Fantastic hotel with great location. Very spacious rooms, fantastic club level and extremely attentive staff. The Davenport lounge is a great way to relax and has a fantastic band playing the type of music that you expect to hear on a trip to New Orleans.

Very close to the corner of canal and Bourban, the RC is in a great location. The staff is very good like a typical RC = "ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen". The live jazz in the bar WED-SAT is amazing. With Uber and and other options there is no reason to rent a car and then pay to...

This Ritz is worth the price for service and location. Staying on the club level is a must. The food and service was exceptional. The beignets every night were delicious as were the continuous snacks. Terrence was so nice and friendly and helpful. Janis had some great suggestions and Kathy was superb. Will definitely stay here again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
