The outstanding accommodations, service, food, beverages, and jazz makes it hard to leave the hotel and experience the real city. This world-class hotel is not for every budget, but 100% worth the splurge if you're on the fence.

Early December stay at this lovely hotel, decorated beautifully for the holiday - including an entire gingerbread room! Loved the live jazz performances every evening and the delicious breakfasts. Great location too.

"Home sweet home" That's exactly how I felt when arriving at the Ritz. From the time we made our reservation to the time we checked out, we had nothing but incredible service. Kristin in guest services has set the bar for customer experience. She went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasurable as possible, demonstrating a genuine interest...

The hotel lobby is located on the third floor which keeps it private from foot traffic. A simple elevator ride opens to a gracious and gorgeous area. It is scented with floral candles. The courtyard is beautiful and welcoming. Music plays softly in the background until evening when the live music begins in the lounge. The jazz group is very...

The staff does a great job to make your stay pleasurable. If you can, try the Blue Club as Terrance and team are exceptional! Nicely appointed rooms and great location for walking to great restaurants.

The best experience for my Dad who turned 80 years old. The Ritz treated him well and he felt so appreciated. The service from the valet parking to the entertainment in the Davenport Room was outstanding. Could have not asked for a better time spent with my family.

I've stayed at many top hotels in the 42 countries I've visited or lived in. This one is among the best. I read a review talking about the "tired" facility. This is an old facility with a lot of character. It's like staying in a museum. If you want new, go to the Courtyard or another facility, but if you...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
