Was staying at hotel for 4 nights and had the worst experience. The hotel decided to PAINT my room door from the outside while I was sleeping. I got up dressed to my business meeting opened my room and my entire cloth and shoes were painted. I complained to the local manager but she only smiled suggested she will take...

The positive, the beds are incredibly comfortable, it's a good location, and the upper floors have great views. The bad, as someone mentioned before the elevator is really loud and if you are on the river side (elevator side) you can hear the elevator go up and down through the HVAC. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. As...

Hi Anna - We've received many guest comments lately indicating their stay was both quiet and restful. It's unfortunate to hear you did not have the same experience and for that we apologize. Thank you for letting us know about the ceiling in 1116. Our Engineering Team is headed to that room this morning to address the issue. We're happy...

Good location, friendly staff, great cookies offered on arrival. It's close (a few blocks down) from Burbon Street. An outlet mall is also very close, as well as a casino. River boat tours... the works... all in close proximitey for walking.

Perfect location. Comfortable hotel with very attentive staff. Room was great. a 10 second walk to casino was another nice bonus as well. Very affordable and newly renovated. Also, was very quiet which can be a challenge in Nola.

We stayed here in May for a friend's wedding, which was also in the hotel's ballroom. The wedding itself was gorgeous and a great experience; the food layout around the room was so efficient and the decor and view was gorgeous. The hotel staff made it a really pleasant stay and we're very nice and accommodating. Plus those cookies! Would...

Fabulous hotel right by the waterfront. The breakfast was good, although service was slow. The room was well furnished and we had asked for a quiet room - mission achieved on floor 12. it was also banging the middle of everything, a very short walk to Bourbon Street. We were there for the French Quarter Festival - fantastic live music...

This hotel is within walking distance of the Mississippi River, French Quarter, convention center, numerous wonderful restaurants, acquarium. It is newly refurbished from the top down. Now very modern, very accommodating staff. We had absolutely no negative issues with this property during our recent stay. Have stayed there in the past both on business trips and with family.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
