The Super 8 New Orleans Doesn't deserve the 4* miss-leading position; very low cost value ratio; Be careful before booking this place! Old, It's not clean and poorly maintained; The photos show the reality at this hotel; The air conditioning is noisy and wake you up every half hour ( when it's start to operate) When you get out of...

Stayed for just one night at the Super 8 on Chef Menteur. This is a quality hotel in a slightly questionable area. That being said it never felt unsafe on the hotel grounds themselves. My room was very clean and functional. The TV got real HD channels, and lots of them with no dumb hotel interface in the way. The...

After booking our flight we found that all motels in downtown area were booked up and about 4 times the price of what they advertised once you got down to booking. Found this super 8 out of town as an option. Saved our trip! Price was same as what they advertised, clean, breakfast every morning, staff was fantastic, (especially Angela)...

First the bad: the neighborhood is a mess...kind of grim. Abandoned high-rise next door, etc. Also, with road construction and closed I-10 ramps, there is some extra hassle. (October, 2015) The good: I drove in and out. I felt plenty safe. Security and the general vibe was reassuring. Staff was nice. I didn't feel unsafe at all. I haven't stayed...

Very basic motel, but for exploring New Orleans it's ok. Receptionist gave us a great tip to park on the edge of the main streets then take a tram into the city. Really cheap way to explore otherwise you have to pay ridiculous parking fees.
