Great location - walking distance to historical landmarks, the river wharf, Frenchmen and Bourbon streets. A cute, French style hotel with clean facilities and we very much enjoyed the hot tub! Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in August while it was very hot in N.O. so the wonderful A/C in the room was a welcome relief. The front desk staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The room was very clean. Kicking back and watching TV in the insanely comfortable beds after a long day of moving around was a dream come true. The grounds...

We had only one night to stay in New Orleans and we were excited to stay here. The location is convenient and the room very comfortable. It is a charming place with historical charm. I definitely will stay here again.

A wonderfully cozy - quaint spot in one of the quieter locations of the French Quarter. Our room was small, yet, very comfortable with ample room for (2) people; the bathroom was impressively large! And while some reviewers mourn the small windows, we welcomed them! Room #12 was a cool, dark retreat from the day's heat and humidity. The courtyard...

We loved the Inn on Ursulines. The staff was very friendly and most helpful. Great historic property located in the heart of the French Quarter. Excellent value for the money. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to New Orleans. Since parking is such a hassle anywhere in New Orleans, we used their offsite parking and walked...

If you are looking for bells and whistles, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for old world charm, deep in the French Quarter and accessible to everything, this is the place. The rooms are small and ours was right off the street. The bed is very comfortable and the room, especially the bathroom, is very...

We travelled for a conference and only stayed a couple of days. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The room was ready early, clean and in nice condition. The only issue was that our room was right on the street. Literally. If we had opened our blind it was open for everyone passing by to look right in. We stepped...

I've been to the city multiple times and love to check out new places on each visit and Inn on Ursulines did not disappoint. Super close to French Market, Bourbon, Royal and Jackson Square, this was a hidden gem in the Quarter. I cannot sing the praises enough of Makaya, she was super helpful and informative when it came to...

My partner and I stayed here for our first ever visit to New Orleans. Inn on Ursulines was quaint and quiet, yet so close to all the action - we walked everywhere. Rooms are clean and spacious and the bed was one of the biggest and comfiest I've ever slept in. The 24 hour reception came in handy as we...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
