Hotel's Favourite
The hotel is on the edge of the French Quarter. A few blocks away is the Hop on Hop Off bus tour depot is one reason we selected this hotel. Parking is valet and costs $50 per day, but is worth it to be totally secure. The hotel has a excellent breakfast each morning to get your day started. They also have a evening gathering with finger foods, beer and wine once during the week that is free to the guests. Rooms were clean, had a sitting area, and a mini kitchen with refrigerator. Perfect for an extended stay of 3 or more nights while visiting New Orleans.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in New Orleans. We “loved” this hotel and had NO problems at all. In fact we were delighted with the room and service we received. This Homewood is a fairly new hotel in a great location in the French Quarter Being in our retirement years we could walk to many locations including Bourbon St, Canal St and Jackson Sq. There is a Hop on Hop off bus within 3 blocks of the hotel and the street cars are convenient. Breakfast was a nice variety of foods with a large seating area. The evening Manager.s reception includes free beer, wine and enough food for a meal with stellar service. The typical Homewood suites have a kitchen with fulll sized refrigerator and stove top for cooking with outdoor grill area if u prefer to cook Oh and the Windows are very soundproof. We had a lovely 3 night stay, so I can’t understand why anyone would write anything negative about this hotel.

I recently stayed here and found it to be a great place to stay. It's only a short 3 block walk to Bourbon St. The valet parking garage spaces are huge, therefore no door dings. The free breakfast feels more like a restaurant with a lot of options to choose from.

We are Hilton Honor’s diamond members on day 13 of a 16 night stay at the Hilton Homeward Suites, French Quarter, New Orleans. The hotel informed us that for long stays rooms are cleaned EVERY FIVE DAYS. Our experience shows that this is not true!! On the seventh day of our stay we had to complain that our room still had not been serviced. We also had no hot water in our room and the toilet backed up continually. Therefore, on day seven of our stay, the hotel moved us to a new (clean) room. On day twelve of our stay, we spoke to housekeeping and the front desk and arranged for our room to be cleaned the next day. We purposely vacated our room for the whole day in order to facilitate the cleaning service but when we returned in the evening nothing had been touched. This was infuriating and is unacceptable. We realize that during Covid some services are modified but rooms still need to be serviced and if you say “every five days” then you should respect that commitment. If not, then at least service the room on a mutually agreed day. Homeward Suites have failed on both counts even though the occupancy rate has been visibly low on weekdays during our stay.
There are many hotels in and near the French Quarter of New Orleans which is why we recommend avoiding this particular Homeward Suites. We will certainly never stay here again.

This hotel looks fairly new. It is very clean and neat throughout. It sits right at the edge of the French Quarter. Only a 3 block walk to Bourbon Street. My wife and I stayed in a very clean and well appointed King Suite. Included was a kitchenette with all the working appliances. A small dining table separates the kitchenette and the living space. The living space included a sofa bed, a large flat screen TV and a dresser. The bathroom was also very clean. The suite was large, giving us plenty of room to move around. Monday through Thursday, this hotel has an evening social hour that shouldn't be missed. Excellent food (not snacks) and all the beer and wine you could drink in 2 hours. Breakfast was pretty good too. Since this hotel sits on the edge of the French Quarter, it is very quiet. Did not try the pool or the workout room. We walked to Bourbon Street and back and various times in the night and did not feel scared. Rampart street is well lit. Also, Rampart street is closed at the block next to the hotel due to the Hard Rock Hotel construction collapse, making it difficult to walk the 2 blocks to Canal Street.

Really, everything about this place was terrific. The customer service, from the time we checked in until we checked out, was great, as the staff was friendly and respectful always. This is one of the few places in the Quarter that offers breakfast, which is a nicety unto itself; breakfast varied each day, too, with several offerings.
The room itself was modern, comfortable, quiet, and spacious. The large walk-in shower was much appreciated, and the bed provided us a good night's sleep. The hotel is huge on safety, as you have to have a key card to enter after 9 p.m.
The location is great, as you're just a few blocks away from Bourbon and Royal streets in the Quarter.
My only frown is parking, but most downtown hotels want you to pay extra, just like Homewood. Here, it's 40 bucks.

I enjoyed staying at this Homewood Suites location. My friends and I enjoyed being greeted by DeAndra at the front desk each evening with a hello and a smile. She gave us great recommendations for food, drinks and fun while we stayed. The room was very clean and whenever we needed more towels and washcloths the staff would send them up in a timely manner. Everyone on staff that we came in contact with was very polite and friendly. We will most definitely be staying at this location again. Thank you DeAndra for being so nice to us and making sure we enjoyed ourselves while in NOLA.

This hotel is by far the best deal in town. I booked 2 rooms (both studios) and I was pleasantly surprised to find out when I entered my room I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. My friends stayed in the studio and both rooms were more than adequate for our needs. Both came with a full size refrigerator, cook top, dishwasher and micro. Way more than we needed since we did not do any cooking there. After all we were tourists in NOLA so wanted to eat their food. Because of COVID restrictions they have changed their breakfast but it was way more than I expected. You tell the girl what you want and they put it all in a paper bag for you. You can eat it in the breakfast room. Choices were bananas, oranges, cereal and milk, yogurt, hard boiled eggs (2 to a package), assorted pastries and bagels with cream cheese and peanut butter. We did look at the pool area and they even have 2 grills and tables outside for you to use. The staff was wonderful. I can't say enough great things about our stay there.

Nice hotel within walking distance to all the attractions of the French Quarter. Staff is very friendly. Food at the evening social hour was good, always lettuce salad with choice of toppings and soup, plus whatever the entre for the evening was. We ate out during the day and this was more than ample for our evening meal. Valet parking is available for an additional cost. It's a bit high but worth the peace of mind knowing your vehicle is safe and you can access whatever you may need from the vehicle at any time. The construction accident at the Hard Rock shut down the trolley that normally runs in front of the hotel. We were extremely pleased with our stay until something was dropped and rolled under the bed, where we found a baby dirty baby bottle, causing us to wonder how often rooms are thoroughly cleaned between guests. In spite of this we would recommend the hotel.

This is a clean modern hotel in a location within walking distance to the French Quarter and riverfront. There was some noise from traffic on N. Rampart Street, mainly sirens. There’s also a church next door with a clock that chimes every hour. All staff seemed friendly and helpful. There were four of us in the room and only two bath towels, and when we called the front desk more towels were brought to our room within minutes.

We did not have a car and were able to walk everywhere. Parking in New Orleans is very expensive, including at this hotel, so I would discourage you from getting a car. We used the Saint Charles Street Car to get out to the Garden District where we did a walking tour. The street cars are very easy to use and were only a few blocks from the hotel itself. I would suggest avoiding Bourbon Street after dark but otherwise we felt pretty safe. If you just cross the street from the hotel, you can head right down one of the streets directly into the French Quarter. Also, just behind the hotel don’t miss the oldest cemetery in New Orleans, St. Louis cemetery number one. Be sure to ask the hotel concierge for a walking map. For the walking tour of the garden district we simply did a Google search and it came back with a suggested walking route.
I stayed Homewood and it was very close. 2/3 small blocks walk max. My daughter hates walking and she didn’t complain once. We did a king one bedroom suite and it had microwave as well as fridge, counter stop stove. I purposely chose it for the amenities
Hi , yes they do have stairs. . When you check in ask for a room on the lower level or ground floor .
The hotel is great though & you will enjoy . Marion in reception is absolutely lovely .
