I promised the kids a night in a haunted hotel. No ghosts, but lots of character, just ths side of creepy. This was an affordable night with free breakfast. The staircase up to the third floor is faster than the creaky elevator, but it's cant makes it an adventure. The room was basic and clean. Nice staff.

I was with a large group for brunch on Sunday, March 29th. The atmosphere could not have been better; the view and hotel are beautiful. BUT, the service was absolutely terrible. We were there for an hour before receiving our first course and it took 45 minutes to receive our drinks. We were there from noon to 3pm (entrees finally...

My sister and I had time to kill after out drive around the Garden District. Someone had reviewed this place so we thought we would give it a try. What a nice little find! We asked if we could just peruse the downstairs area (it's a hotel) and the old house is lovely. With its ornate ceilings it evoked times...

Great location in the garden district that takes you back to the old south. It's an old tobacco mogul's mansion turned into a B&B. In addition, the bar downstairs is lovely and sitting on the front porch sippin' juleps takes you back 150 years. Definitely check this place out.

A neat hotel conveniently located on St Charles Ave.Trolley line just in front of the hotel so you can pick one up almost anytime. It is a B&B and includes a full, and quite good, breakfast. Rooms are a bit funky and the bathrooms are even funkier but it's reasonable and has a great bar with music nightly downstairs. Oh, and...

I did not stay there but I went for th bar a few times and had a lot of fun in it. Drinks have good price, the people and the music ate very exciting and I would go again. The mojitos are to die for!!!

This hotel was recommended by some friends who had stayed there years ago, but after reading the reviews I opted to stay elsewhere. And I'm thankful I did! Because my cousin and I stopped by for a drink and immediately felt the run-down shabbiness of the hotel. All the tables in the bar were dirty and the one where we...

My holiday in Nola would have been incomplete if I had not give to the columns hotel. I was here two nights before new year's Eve and simply loved it. Sit next to the fireplace in the winter. Their bar is amazing and the live music was soul stirring. Great place to talk to a few locals.

Antebellum in the Garden District. At first glance The Columns Hotel exudes great charm and appeal. But on closer inspection the rooms are in poor condition, noise from the street is more than an annoyance, and the weekend bands are loud. The building needs a major renovation. However. If street noise and a lively bar does not affect you, I...

The Columns had everything we would want in a visit to New Orleans! Great bar, great nightly live music, and good food! Our accommodations were wonderful, although my cousin's rooms were much smaller with no windows. Full breakfast is included in the price of the room. The St. Charles street car stop is in front of the hotel which takes...
