Love the Embassy Suites LOFTS a few blocks from the NOLA Convention Center. Great friendly front desk staff and nice historic building with all the Embassy amenities. Location is a bit confusing for Uber Drivers since it is near the "big" Embassy Suites but not far from some great restaurants like Emerils, El Gato Negro, Cochran's, etc.

We attended a convention, and the Embassy Suites was the perfect choice for us. We were looking for a rate comparable to the conference hotels, and it's hard to beat the extra value of living space and a balcony. The balcony was a great way to unwind after a long day of meetings and evening receptions. The service was efficient,...

Breakfast was great - Room Service menu and service left to be desired. no Hilton Honors dedicated line. Staff is very friendly. Walls are thin you can hear conversations from other rooms and balconies. Would not consider our room to be a quiet room.

Sitting here now and can't sleep because it's so loud outside. I'm on the 8th floor and can here conversations from the street below. No free Wi-Fi like they say we called front desk they said it's about $13 a day to use it. We had a nasty sewer smell as soon as we checked in. They did come and...

My wife and I stayed over the weekend at the Embassy Lofts section of the hotel and was helped by Zackary Henderson. He went the extra mile providing services and recommendations. He is very knowledgeable of the area and kept us informed about the many amenities the Lofts had to offer. He made my trip to NOLA a great one....

The suite was great - very clean, everything you need is there. The only gripe was that our room wasn't ready at check-in time (4pm). The FOM said we would be contacted as soon as it's finished however by 5pm we decided to approach the front desk again to see what was going on. Instead of speaking to the FOM...

Allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was good and so was evening appetizers of pasta, chips and fruit. Waters and sodas along with snacks available at all times. The Lofts were very spacious and enjoyed by our family of four.

The Hotel itself was wonderful. It had all the amenities that everybody needs, microwave, refrigerator, clean room, clean towels, pleasant atmosphere with great complimentary breakfast and Happy Hour. The horrible part was the gouging of parking and the Management not communicating that you will have to pay $38 dollars per night whether you use your vehicle on a daily basis...

Thank you for taking the time to share the many positive parts of your stay. I can understand how frustrating it was to not know in advance that the parking in the city is more expensive than in other areas. We hope you will give us the opportunity to be your host the next time you come to our city.

Our trip and our stay at the Embassy Suites in New Orleans in the Convention District was ruined by the cost of the parking. The hotel self parking is $8.95 for 10 hours. The lots charge per hour or $8.00 for 10 hours. With this set up you have to choose the $37.95 valet parking to keep your vehicle from...

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Austin Texas and loved it. So, we were looking forward to our stay in NOLA. There was no comparison in cleanliness and updates. I know NOLA is a party town and you expect a little wear and tear on rooms but ours had furniture that had chunks of wood missing. The walls...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
