Best stay for the money. Everything within walking distance. Felt very safe walking streets. And champagne in the lobby at the end of the day was very nice touch.Very friendly from stuff iat the desk to housekeeping.

Room was clean and cozy. Roof patio was awesome when you needed to hear music but not deal with crowds. Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. IF you stay, make sure you go to DAT DAWG and get a crawfish etoufee hotdog.

I have stayed in many places around the world, and I have never been more unsatisfied than with my stay at the Frenchman. The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful to say the least. When we got the room it was not clean--there were beer cans under the bed from who knows when. The sheets were not clean. They put a...

Great location for music lovers. Room was clean, the staff friendly. Room is small, but the bed is great. The hotel entrance door and the door to the room we stayed could be easily opened with just one good kick. In the morning you can hear everything behind your door and usually it is housekeeping.

Mary, Thanks for taking the to write. Our front door is over a century old and thick as an oak. Anyone kicking it is going to break their foot. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

The Frenchman Hotel is a great New Orleans hotel. Location is great. Courtyard is quiet. Balcony rooms get quiet at 2am. I know this because we extended our stay and had to move from the courtyard to a balcony. Loved both rooms. Staff is great!!

I traveled at the same time as several other people for a conference, and was really glad to have picked the Frenchmen over something in the French Quarter, like my colleagues did. We spent 3 of 5 nights seeing jazz and other shows within 2 blocks of the hotel, so it was great to have a nice quick safe walk...

We loved our experience at the Frenchmen Hotel. The location is ideal. The nightlife on Frenchman Street was lively. We experienced the best jazz right near our hotel. The hotel is also right next to the French Quarter. The history of the hotel and the quaint charm was appreciated. We would recommend the hotel highly.

The rooms are small, the curtains do not block light at all. There is not a single towel bar in the bathroom, the lighting sucks, the room was clean but had an overwhelming smell of bleach when I opened the door. There is a huge armoire to be used as a closet, but no clothing rod, just very small hooks...

Janice, Thanks for writing. It sounds as though you chose the least expensive room (thus smallest) and were probably in a room that hasn't been renovated yet. Give us time and all will be made beautiful. Reading the many reviews here should give some idea of what to expect.

The room was very clean, it was very comfortable, but the quiet time in the courtyard is ridiculous. People wake up at 6 AM and go in the courtyard drink their coffee and scream across the courtyard to one another waking up everyone in the complex. If you bulkier get a room in the back!

Meltt0, Good of you to write. Thank you. We are a small establishment and the guests are very friendly with one another, many being repeat guests, so they do tend to have their routines. It is not always so though. Again, thanks for writing.
