I recently had the pleasure of staying in this quaint hotel in the perfect location of the French Quarter. The bell staff ( especially Kore) went above and beyond exceptional service. The courtyard and pool area is very unique and could not have been a more welcoming gathering spot for our family reunion. Beautiful rooms- stayed in an inside room....

This was our third stay at the Place d'Armes and we just loved everything! The quaint courtyard, room accomodations (we had a deluxe room this visit), the location to everything in the Quarter and the friendly staff who went above and beyond the call of duty! Can't wait for a return visit!

This is a lovely hotel right in the middle of the French Quarter. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious( we had a junior suite) and pretty. The courtyard is charming and has plenty of room for relaxing and there is a nice swimming pool. The staff is friendly and the bell people go beyond helpful.

When you visit "nawlins" for the first couple of times, it helps to be in the middle of the french quarter... The place de armes is there.. Right off jackson square.. Near the french market .. A bunch of great restaurants.. And tons of shopping.. We like that it is a couple of blocks from bourban street.. Quieter location.. We...

This is a beautiful, charming hotel with fabulous service. The hotel staff went above and beyond typical great service. I was visiting New Orleans for a family reunion and there could have been no more perfect spot. The location is perfect. The rooms are unique and beautiful. The courtyard was the perfect gathering spot for our group. Needless to say,...

Front desk help is rude and lied about the room rate. We walked out without staying.

Guest requested AARP Discount rate but was unwilling, or unable, to offer AARP membership card or verification. Front desk staff was courteous and professional and helpful - but unable to offer discounted rate without membership verification.

Love this quaint little hotel just off Jackson Square. Rooms are nicely appointed and very clean, breakfast is mostly bread but tasty, and the courtyard/pool is fantastic. I was here with my husband and 2 children (ages 6&9). parking is valet only, $29/nt. Pros: Location, friendly/helpful staff, old New Orleans feel, clean rooms, excellent price, quiet, great pool Cons: go...

First, you can not beat this location, literally around the corner from Jackson square and the Cathedral. Made up of several old townhouses around a very pretty courtyard and pool, there's nothing cookie-cutter about this hotel. We stayed in an interior room (no windows) but we didn't care as it was easy to step out to the breezeway and into...

I won't rehash in detail what so many have already said. Suffice it to say this is a good deal--it's clean, comfy, and you simply can't beat the location. We stayed in a windowless room, and although I wouldn't recommend it for more than two people, it was a great bargain for the price. We didn't feel claustrophobic at all...

Stayed at the Place D'Armes in May, it was a great choice of hotel with the best location, walking distance , the only down side was that having a balcony room was a bit noisy at night and I had wished I had gone for a room that looked out onto the courtyard garden, which was stunning..

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
