My boyfriend and I stayed at JW New Orleans for 4 nights. We stayed in a corner king room that was nice and large. The hotel was in a great location, restaurants and stores were all within walking distance. The only bad experience we had was when we attempted to eat breakfast at the restaurant on site, Fogo De Chao. Restaurant was practically empty when we arrived, there were only 2 tables occupied. After being seated and waiting about 10-15 min, no one brought any water or took our order. We ended up leaving and grabbed breakfast elsewhere. Other than that, hotel staff was great, everyone was very personable and welcoming. I would’ve given 5 stars if it weren’t for the bad restaurant experience, but will definitely stay again in the future.

This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at and that's saying a lot since we travel so much. We recently decided to become Marriott Bonvoy members and stay at Marriott hotels whenever we can. This is an exceptional hotel. Room was just gorgeous! The marble bathroom and shower were just divine. And being on the 19th floor, we had an amazing view of the French Quarter from our room. They do clean rooms daily now but if you do not want that, you can put do not disturb sign on your door. I'm a fan of having our room made up daily, personally. Masks are required in main areas of the hotel. People were all compliant with this and if you don't have a mask, the front desk will give you one. Oh and we also took advantage of the Nespresso machine in our room and started each day with a cup or two. We did a package that included parking. It is steep but worth it if you plan on renting a car to go places outside of New Orleans area or are driving in from some place else. Staff was great as well. Very friendly and accommodating. They don't do the free breakfast here, but they do offer options for purchase but we ate elsewhere around town. Didn't get to try out the pool because it was too cold/rainy while we were in town, but I hope to check it out next time I'm in town in a warmer month. It's a really nice pool. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at this JW Marriott and plan to stay here again next time we're in New Orleans.

My wife and I stayed four nights at the JW and had a great time. The location is perfect for seeing and doing most things in New Orleans, including being just a block from the St Charles Street Car Line. The pool is open! Other NoLa hotels have their pool closed, but the JW is open each day on the 8th floor. The executive lounge is open! It is attached to the lobby, to the right of the reception desk. During our stay, it was open for breakfast Friday-Sunday, with each day serving the exact same food: eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, pastries, fruit, yogurt, and juices. All of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. If only one or two of them helped at the front desk... On days the executive lounge is closed, there is breakfast at the bar. It's an a-la-carte setup where everything has a price (see attached photo). If you've got lounge access (Platinum members and certain room types), then it is free. I couldn't get clarification on just how much you could order for free. We ordered a total of three things and did not get charged. As a platinum member, I did get a room upgrade to a corner room. It was a very nice room, though only marginally larger than a normal king room. Everything was clean and well maintained. Fogo de Chao, the Brazilian Restaurant, is open for most dinner and lunch services, as well as a few breakfast times. We only went for the weekly happy hour deals, which are incredible. $4 for two short rib sliders? Yes please. Great food and great service. My only two complains are with the front desk staff and the suite night awards program. Each time I dealt with the front desk staff, they were rude and unhelpful. It was never busy, but I guess I was still interrupting their peace. At checkin, they asked if we were familiar with the property. We've never stayed here before, so I said no. She just stared at me angrily and didn't want to be helpful. Later I visited the desk asking for bath robes. They wouldn't give them to me, instead promised they'd be brought to the room. They never were. As for suite nights, they don't allow suite night awards to be used for any of the one bedroom suites. They only allow them for regular king room upgrades, none of which are worth the money or the use of suite nights. Overall, a great experience. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed here for a quick getaway to New Orleans. This is a great hotel priced appropriately. Our room was clean and we had a great view of the Quarter. Parking was convenient and the hotel is within walking distance of all the major attractions and restaurants. The best part of our room was the shower. Very hot with great water pressure. It was nice after a long day enjoying the city. I would stay here again.

Checked in today for three days and hoped for a nice room or at least an upgrade being a Lifetime Titanium. Nothing. Here’s a picture of what you can expect for a room at this hotel being a Marriott Lifetime Titanium customer.
