Second year coming to this hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and makes the stay a perfect experience. George the concierge actually remembered the both of us as we walked inside to register. We last saw him exactly a year ago. It makes this hotel feel like home away from home when we come here. George was incredibly helpful once again by recommending places to visit and where to watch the two parades that weekend. We will be back this spring for jazz fest and will be staying at this hotel again.
We stayed here from 20 to 24 January at the start of a 15 day road trip and the only disappointment was that they couldn’t accommodate us for our last 2 nights (Feb 2 and 3). This was by far the BEST hotel of our trip! Staff lovely, lifts super fast, room spacious and clean and the shower was really good. The location is excellent. Their restaurant Trenasse serves the very best grits! Highly recommend
Stayed in this hotel from 20 to 24 Jan, it was seriously good. The location is excellent, the staff so friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the shower was perfect. The lifts were so fast and we never waited too long for one. We were on a 15 night road trip and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in and the price was excellent. BTW when the waiter tells you they serve the BEST grits in NOLA believe him!
From the moment I walked into the grand lobby of the InterContinental until the moment I left, I felt very comfortable and so well taken care of. Upon checking in, Iman was incredibly lovely & welcoming and reassured me that, despite arriving a bit early, my room was ready and waiting. I was lucky enough to have a corner suite on the 9th floor - with a pretty view of historic St. Charles Avenue. I was very touched to find a welcome gift, from someone very special to me, in my room. The room was spacious, superbly clean, and had all of the amenities I could ask for. I was traveling alone, and never once did I feel lonely or unsafe. In the morning the staff greeted me warmly and Reyna made sure I got fresh coffee and beignets in Pete's. In the evenings, Gary at the front desk and Oswald at the door always welcomed me back in, and made sure to ask me if there was anything I needed. I felt like a part of the family, and really, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Upon check-out, Iman was again as lovely as she could be. Leanne, at the concierge desk, called for a cab to take me to the airport. What I really appreciated was that Leanne told me exactly what the cab would look like & when it would arrive, giving me the opportunity to just stand outside, soak up the last bits of New Orleans and watch the street car rumble down St. Charles one final time. I had the opportunity to tour the grand ballroom and meeting spaces on the second and third floors. Wow. The ballroom is spectacular! I can't thank the staff enough for welcoming me like family, for looking out for me and for just being so caring and thoughtful. This was my first time at this hotel, but it definitely won't be my last!…
Was invited to stay at this chic hotel and was pleasantly impressed by the friendliness of all its staff members! Our room was very nice and welcoming. Although we didn’t require housekeeping due to only staying for 2 nights, their housekeeping staff checked with us twice to see if we needed anything.
This hotel was everything that I have come to expect from the Intercontinental brand. Check in was a breeze, as it was done online the night before. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. A corner room was a real bonus, as it was quiet and afforded multiple views of the city. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive, and the location was perfect for all of my travel and tourist plans. An added bonus was the in house restaurant, Trenasse, which offered an excellent menu, wines and drinks at very fair prices. I will definitely select this hotel again on return visits to New Orleans!
Absolutely amazing!!!! We I walked in he had me taken care of from start to finish!!! Then to my pleasant surprise, he was there at check out as well!!! He was so kind, helpful, funny, and accommodating!!! I will be looking for him the next time I return to this wonderful city!!!!
I've never had a checkin that was under 2 minutes...laughed so hard....made to feel like I was the most important person in the freaking lobby....and then to top it all off, he walked me to the elevator and said if I needed anything, he's here til 3:30, just call and ask for him! I was thinking to myself ...is this dude for real? NO ONE will top the FIRST impression T made on me! NO ONE!
Our room was large and clean. The shower had some mold. Pillows were way too large to sleep comfortably. They had no room service, even for breakfast. The breakfast restaurant was very expensive. They had food and drinks in the room but no written indication of the cost. Wifi was good. Staff was helpful.
The front desk crew, Jhoseyln, Cindy and Deanne rocked it! They went above and beyond to help fix problems with our reservations. They were available and attentive, no problem to big or small and I appreciate them for their professionalism! Thank you IC Front Desk Team!
