Our upcoming anniversary and my birthday was the perfect reasons to book a stay at one of our favourite hotels. We were greeted by formal parking attendants and a perfect bellman ready to shuttle away our car and our luggage. The check in was perfect with our room exactly as requested. We visited the Sazureck, met our best friends and...

I was here during the labor day weekend (Gold member). I drove from Houston and ended up arriving at the hotel about 8:00 ish. I asked if the early check-in was available although it seemed way too early. But I was able to check in right away with two complimentary drink tickets (try its signature cocktail at the bar, forgot...

Oh my god what a beautiful hotel. Rooms are large and well maintained. Offered an upgrade to a king suite at a very reasonable price. Staff friendly and great conference rooms. Very pleased with my stay at the Roosevelt. Beautifully decorated for the December holidays.

Christmas time is the BEST time to visit the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. The lobby is one of the most incredible sights to behold. You can't help but feel the Christmas spirit. Overall a Waldorf Astoria hotel experience.

The hotel was very nicely decorated for the season. The staff was very friendly. While the decor of the room was beautiful it could have been a bit cleaner for the level of hotel this is. Just small thinks like dusting and dirty glasses. Close enough to walk anywhere in the Quarter that you need to be and right next...

The Christmas decorations in the lobby were magical, it made us stop for a few minutes every time we were in/out of our room. Room was comfortable and greatly decorated. Great location and amazing costumer service.

Old-fashioned opulence. Really grand experience. My husband and I stayed here, because we attended a concert at the Saenger. The Roosevelt is very pretty and takes you back in time to an experience of grandeur in hospitality. The bars and restaurants were a little loud and crowded, but the proximity to other places along Canal St made this perfect. We...

This was a terrible experience. We arrived after stated check-in time and our room was not ready. After almost two hours we were sent to a room already occupied by other guests. The next room which we stayed in was half the size of the original room. Very disappointing.

A beautifully adorned hotel just outside the French Quarter. Lots of style in the lobby, bars, and rooms. Excellent restaurants and bar in the building, so it's easy to stay in and enjoy the environs if you need a break from walking. We love staying here.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
