The B & B has several different cabins and common room which has fireplace and a great library and lots of maps of the area. Food was some of the best we have had at a B & B. On the grounds there are actual kivas that one can climb into that were excavated by former owners. BUT potential guests...

The setting, adjacent to Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, is delightful. Nice base for hikes and other explorations. The bed in unit 9 was not nice to our backs. The owner got into a discussion with the cook that we could have done without hearing, as well as the owner complaining about a national monument in Utah while he...

3rd stay at The Kelly Place in about 17 years. Located in a magical place. Hosts are very pleasant & helpful. Very interesting old ranch house, just a tiny bit funky, but everything works & it's very clean.

We stayed in the farthest cabin (8) just at the start of the trail. It was quiet and peaceful. There was no one in the adjoin cabin however. Breakfast was excellent all 3 days we stayed. We took the guided hike with retired archeologist Diane and was worth the $. She led us to hidden jems of ruins that most...

This is an unusual place. The surroundings are beautiful and the location is remote. From our cabin window we looked out onto the sandstone rock formations which are quite beautiful. The cabin (#8) is pretty basic, clean but simple. There is a kitchenette and a grill outside. It is important to know that this is a long way (at least...

but they go out of their way to make sure the pancakes or eggs are gourmet.it's wonderful being here in the sandstone only 2 miles away from the major trailhead to Canyon of the ancients national Monument. We got a good view of their fox as we drove in at dusk. Everything was clean and we were cared for. You...

This was our second visit to Kelly Place. We loved it so much, we came back! It's a long drive from Idaho, but worth the trek. Nestled in a canyon, surrounded by beautiful sandstone cliffs and two (yes two) vineyards nearby, this B&B is a peaceful refuge. Rooms are clean and comfy, and the gourmet breakfast is amazing! There are...

We stayed with them after a very hot day visiting Mesa Verde. The place is really special and they even have a fantastic offer of local craft beers. I particulalrly recommend the Golden ale that you can enjoy it in the garden.

Really enjoyed this lovely, relaxed oasis close to Cortez but far enough out of town to feel that you are getting away from it all. Fascinating history and lovely, easy walks on the property. Great breakfast in the charming courtyard. Would return again.

Tucked in McElmo Canyon, which has some of the best Anasazi and other ancient ruins, but only about 10 miles from Cortez, this a great place to view ruins right on the grounds of the hotel, which has marked hiking trails that lead to kivas, middens, and other archaeological finds. Not overly fancy, and cell phones won't work here, but...
