Although the facilities are a little basic, this hostel was clean and had everything that I needed. I found that the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very laid back, which suits the chilled out beach vibe. The hostel is really right on the beach and I thought the food was tasty. We also rented surf boards and wet...

first , I hope that the owners can create a more friendly environment. not just depan by "rule" to limit and destroy the beautiful day. the story is I have a group has 10+ people here few days ago , we're coming to Wai-ao to enjoy the sunny & ocean, and we had fews people booking and stay in hostel...

The service and food were very disappointing The food was over priced, it was just cheap supermarket stock and took a very long time to prepare. Free coffee - but the cheapest kind and it is self service and had to wait for cups. Worst of all was the lady (boss) of the hostel . She was quite impolite to...

This is a nice, clean, quiet hostel with basic amenities at reasonable room rates. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hostel is right on the beach. They have tables set up for outdoor eating. I enjoyed staying there and I will likely go back. The food was ok, but the staff were fantastic. If you're looking for a...

I spent the night with some buddies of mine and had a great time. The hostel is right next to a secluded part of the beach which makes the location hard to beat. The people at the hostel are super friendly and are very laid back (but this can sometimes be a problem as we inquired several times about paragliding...

I came here to learn to surf and the instructors were fantastic. The staff here are amazing and aim to please. Waiao is a great beach that is not crowded at all, even during peak season. Its just a little more difficult to get to. I recommend going into Jiaoxi after surfing and soak in the hot springs.

There is a hostel dog named tortilla who made my experience better than it would have been! Any place that has a pet automatically gets props! Good location especially because I really enjoy surfing this beach and relaxing in this area. Check in was okay and the guy who showed us around was sweet, allowing us to check in prior...

The manager made my stay here unbearable. She was disgustingly rude to my very close friend who she did not allow to stay in the hostel at 3am, snatched her key out of her hand and didn't refund her money. She was rude and disrespectful. I've heard such great things about this place but this manager ruined everything about my...

This has been a review long overdue. It's been two year since i've been to the rising sun surf inn and I still miss it. The wonderful location conveniently close to Taipei yet still quite secluded. The staff of this hostel/hang out you won't find anywhere around the world. So incredibly nice, accommodating and social. I would try and go...

I stayed at this place for three nights. The dorm and common-area were very clean and the food provided at the bar is good and very cheap. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There were only a handful of other guests when I stayed there, but it's a good place to meet other travelers. The surfing is good too...
