Stayed here for two nights as part of a Trailfinder's Sri Lanka tour and are so glad we did. It's the kind of place we'll remember for the rest of our lives as it's so wonderful. As other reviewers have said, it's a working tea factory converted into a hotel and the conversion's been executed very sympathetically, even preserving part...

The hotel is housed in a stunningly restored ex-tea processing factory, and most of the original features have been retained, from the old tea processing plant machinery to the wrought iron ceiling supports in the lobby through to the restored train carriage that houses one of the restaurants. Accommodation is decent without being outstanding, staff are all charming, and it...

We could not fault this beautiful hotel and its facilities but we're disappointed that we had to wait 12 months until HTF finally admitted that we were overcharged during our stay. We have now received the refund less bank charges which we were not happy about considering the fact that it was not our fault in the first place! Perhaps...

We visited Heritance Tea Factory with a group of friends. One of our friends was staying there and we went to have dinner with them. Went there early evening to see the place also and it was just great. Beautifully restored from an old tea factory to the present hotel. Surrounded by lush green tea estates, the hotel has its...

The ground floor of the hotel was very interesting, and looked fantastic. The welcome tea was lovely and I'm hoping to try the recipe at home! We spent two nights here which I think was long enough - there wasn't really a lot to do in the area. We had three rooms - two of which overlooked the car park...

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was an awesome experience. Full of character, great location - located on top of a hill surrounded by tea plantation, friendly staff. All the rooms have fantastic views of the tea fields and surrounding hills. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a wonderful spice teal. The room was lovely and clean. Staff...

This hotel has a 360 view of the surrounding tea plantations, small English styled garden and village. The renovations of the historical tea factory are extremely well done and interesting to walk around and peruse. Our room on the 3rd level had a view over the plantations and gardens, it was clean and a reasonable size for our overnight stay....

The Heritage Tea Factory is a converted tea factory. It is unusual and a facinating hotel. The rooms are well appointed, the dining room and food selection is excellent, and there are a couple of bars. There is also an old railway carriage which is used for a la carte meals in the evening (Bookings only). There are lovely grounds...

When you enter the lobby and see the refurb of the old tea factory, it looks lovely. The rooms are shabby and small and uncomfortable and need a total refurb, especially the bathrooms. The food was nice and all the staff were lovely. Glad we only stayed one night.
