I liked staying here the first time - was a quick overnight (work) visit and an enjoyable meal and quiet drink. So I came back on my holiday with my family. This second time the service was still good and the staff very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel/residency needs some upgrade and maintenance. The shower didn't work properly and... More

We just stopped at this place for lunch on a recommendation. I'm glad we did. The food was really tasty and we were looked after well by the staff. Can't comment on rooms but the communal area was very clean as were the toilets. It was a good stopping off place.

We stayed here for one night. The guesthouse is quaint and old English bnb style. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Views of the lake from the rooms are beautiful. The Sri Lankan food was delicious and reasonably priced. A well priced option located in walking distance to Gregory lake.

Lovely old colonial type hotel with excellent service. Situated outside of the busy town of Nuwara Sri Lanka. Beautiful views of tea plantations, mountains and the local vegetable gardens. You get a taste of the locals way of life. In walking distance to the Gregory Lake where several water sport facilities are offered. In close driving distance to one of... More

We had no booking and tried a few of the cheaper hotels in town but this one worked best for us at 7pm. The rate at USD60 is typical for the area but in hindsight it should have been less costly. Place is neat but run down. Maintenance is not a strong point at Binota. The room though was nice.... More

This is a cozy and quiet hotel suitable especially for couples and families. The hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to the Gregory Lake and Park. The room was spacious and had a large balcony facing the misty mountains. The views were great. The price was reasonable. Hotel had free and fast WiFi connectivity. We had lunch and dinner... More

Binota hotel is a proffesional leaded hotel in Nuwara Eliya. That´s all due to great man and head manager in one person - Mr. Lal, who really loves his job. All staff was helpful, cooked meals were great, rooms clean and everybody there nice. We felt like guests, not only somebody who needs to stay over night. That´s why we... More

We stayed in this charming, family-owned hotel for only one night and the only regrettable thing about our stay was that we had to leave so soon :) From the moment we arrived until the early hour we had to leave, we were made to feel welcome in every possible way, and with great attention to detail. Upon arrival we... More

The owner is very warm and accommodating. The breakfast was really nice. Tea, fruit, eggs, toast, waffles with syrup. The rooms were clean and the shower was hot. The owner arranged a taxi to Colombo for me 12,000 rupees and also a trip to a tea plantation called Pedro. He agreed a reasonable rate with the driver before we left... More
