We stayed in a triple room for one night. It appears that the hotel is converted from a residental apartment building. The room is spacious, with one double bed and two single beds. The toilet is separated from the bathroom. The bathroom is very big, with a bathing tub. Hot water is supplied steadily and the water pressure is enough. The room is functional, clean and tidy. The hotel is located a bit far from the JR station, about 15 to 20 mins walk, but the plus side is it offers free parking. However, parking lots are limited. Suggested to park your car to the 1/F of the carpark where you can directly access the hotel through its side entrance. However, be reminded that there are steps in front of the entrance, so it may be a problem if you have big baggages. Anyway, there are also stairs at the main entrance. Breakfast is included in my room rate, there are plenty of choices and the food is yummy. At night, there is free udon noodle provided, you can cook your own udon noodle and it tastes good too. This is a good hotel if you drive, the room rate is reasonable and there is free parking. However, if you visit by JR, I would suggest you to stay in another hotel nearer to the station, this hotel is definitely a bit far from the station and is not convenient if you are carrying many luggages.…
We stayed here last summer. The triple room with a huge bathroom looks like a suit room, and the breakfast with several delicious foods was very good. If I go to Obihiro, I will stay this hotel once more.
We enjoyed our stay in this uniquely designed spacious room and one of our members even had a huge room with a sauna room and water sprinkler. The lobby decoration was beautiful and conducive environment for seating in contrast to the exterior of the hotel which was unkept & rundown. Free laundry with purchased soap liquid at 50 yen and dryer at 100 yen. Free udon noodle for supper at self service.
Booked 3 rooms for a night before we continue our drive to Otaru the next day. Hotel overall looked clean and room size was acceptable though my other 2 couple friends complained the bed was too small & uncomfortable for their bigger sizes. Bed was quite hard but I loved it. The only minus point was an unpleasant smell (like stool) at the entrance and a strong bleach detegent smell in the room and bath room. Spread of breakfast was slightly lesser than most hotels that I stayed in Hokkaido but included a good selection of both Jap & western selection. Food were simpler and good and some were suitable for one of my vegetarian friend. This town is quite small and quiet. Was raining so nothing much we could do that day. Did a short 30-45mins drive around and then went to Water Light Garden Onsen 水光园 recommended by hotel. It was really worth the visit at the special price we paid (JPY370/pax exclude towel cost at JPY50/pax). Quite a few herbal baths (both indoor & outdoor) and 2 suana with 2 temperatures. …
The free parking was very good and is undercover and easy to access. The free use of the washing machine was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and many on the reception desk spoke reasonable english. The room was a good size and particularly large in Japanese standards. The big surprise was that we had a sauna in our room and a bathroom that was bigger than many of the Japanese entire hotel rooms that we have had in the past couple of months. We didn't use the sauna as it was hot enough outside to feel like a sauna during the day but what a great idea for the cold winters here in Obihiro. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. WiFi was fast and reliable at all times. Although the hotel is too far from the station to walk with large suitcases we often walked the 1km to find a different restaurant most nights. There are plenty of taxis at the train / bus stations. There are also 5 Car rental places near the station and we used Toyota Rent a car who were excellent. The breakfast is really not suitable for westerners but the locals seemed to find it satisfactory. We took our own cereal and fruit that we bought at a local convenience store and that was enough to supplement the breakfast at the hotel.…
