Location is about a 5-minute walk from the Obihiro station, and like other Dormy Inn hotels, it has hot springs, Yonakisoba (complimentary soba noodle), laundry space, and other services that are welcomed by business travelers. I was very happy with the hot springs, but it would have been nice if it was an open-air bath with a view of the sky. Breakfast was also good with Tokachi's famous pork bowl and local dishes. Perhaps because of "the state of emergency" was lifted, I saw many groups of office workers who seemed to come on business trips.

I’ve been to Obihiro many times and chose this time to stay at the Dormy Inn. Just a few blocks from Obihiro Station and right in the heart of the restaurant area, the location is great. It also has ample parking for guests at 700 yen per night. The room are slightly larger than most Dormy Inns I have stayed in, two people can comfortably share a room (whereas most Dormy Inns one is better off getting two singles for a couple). Comfortable beds, a hot shower and quiet. Everything has been great. I did find the hallways cold, but the heat in the rooms is fine. Use the humidifier in the room, since the rooms are dry. People who like hot springs will enjoy this hotel. I haven’t been to breakfast yet, but Dormy Inn is typically a selection of Japanese and Western choices. At around 8000 yen per night, a good deal for the price.

Everything as expected of a Dormy Inn hotel. Room had a slightly outdated feel to it compared to other Dormy Inns but it was nicely located, quiet and clean. Service was good, the onsen was clean and relaxing. Plenty to eat around the hotel. Nothing to fault and would stay again if in Obihiro.

In the heart of the city, many shops and restaurants nearby. Overnight car parking is just JPY600. Room is small in size, but very typical in Japan. Don't forget to try the free ramen at night, tasted really good.

The hotel is very near the Obihiro JR station, about a 5 mins walk. Double room was about 15sqm, not big, but the room layout was efficient. Dormy offers free half size ramen for supper which it is famous for. And there is an onsen in the hotel for a good soak. We had to pay 600 yen for overnight parking at the hotel’s mechanised carpark. Were told we could not park at the roadside right opp the hotel carpark but we saw lines of cars parked like that. They also have a pillow service which is neatly presented in a cupboard at the hotel lobby but grab one fast as they run out very quickly. Service at the reception was pleasant. Good stay overall, room was a bit tight, but ok for a 1 night stay.
