We arrived at the Alila after having stayed in two other hotels beforehand (Natura & Puri Bunga). My husband and I had booked this hotel as our lost expensive stay, and we're looking forward to a hotel experience that superseded any other. Unfortunately, we didn't feel the hotel lived up to its cost, ratings or our expectation. We had booked... More

We stayed here during our honeymoon for 4 nights. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel special and the staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are spacious, if beginning to date just a little. The food is good - breakfast was amazing, especially the French toast! The infinity pool is breathtaking and you are right in... More

We spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel and could have stayed longer. Breathtaking views and unbelievably attentive, friendly and welcoming staff. We enjoyed all that the hotel can offer; from delicious dinning experiences, making the most of the free shuttle bus to Ubud Town Centre, the luxurious spa and a fantastic guided bike ride around the local village. Even... More

We have heard great reviews and recommendations on the 'legendary' Alila brand. Therefore, we decided to stay at Alila Ubud for our long weekend getaway in Bali. However it turned out to be a rather disappointing experience and didn't quite meet our expectations (perhaps we set it too high, in comparison with other luxury resorts). Pre-arrival: we emailed to the... More

We stayed here for a week after 4 days in Nusa Dua. The location is very peaceful. The hotel is surrounded by rainforest. Every morning and evening the monkeys can be seen in the trees and near the pool, the are harmless and very cute .The rooms are spotless and luxurious. The infinity pool is spectaculour. I absolutely loved the Alila. Staff are exceptional: competent, professional, and very dedicated. The leisure concierge, Suliana, was outstanding, and was very helpful in pointing me toward cultural activities such as silversmithing and art; he even found an exceptional Balinese healer for me to consultT The spa treatments are wonderful, and Sudi is a superb therapist and masseuse. I loved... More

Alila Ubud is settled in a lush jungle of Ubud on the Ayung river. Monkeys everywhere with a very tranquil atmosphere. People are very spiritual and you can feel a positive energy there. We stayed here for 4 nights which they upgraded us after the second night to delux room. We loved our stay. The spa is wonderful and the... More

Travel agent sold us the holiday on the back of the photo of the Valley Cottage room so we were really looking forward to this part of our trip. The 50Km 2 hour journey from the airport was a bit of a drag but when we turned off the main road and drove the half K or so through the... More

We had been looking forward to visiting the Alila for many months. The location is fabulous. Rooms lovely and food really good we felt spoilt. Service is really good and staff make you feel nothing is too much trouble. We loved being in the jungle and the icing on the cake for us was on our last night when there... More

I stayed at the Alila Ubud Resort for three nights over a wedding weekend. The staff was so friendly and the grounds were kept in great condition. The spa was great. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed!
