Medewi Bay retreat really is an escape from the noise and mayhem offered in Kuta or other resorts close to Denpasar. Beautifully landscaped and tranquil setting, delightful, friendly helpful staff. We spent 2 weeks there this August and really loved the place. Already planning our next visit. Menu is great, especially the Balinese and Indonesian food. Wine is expensive, but...

My daughter and I had 7 days here and was very relaxing. Excellent staff, varied menu, alcohol is expensive compared to Australia, but you can take 1lt in duty free. We were upgraded to Hibiscus 9 which was huge, very basic kitchen but I only made cups of tea. Who wants to cook when on holiday? Next time I would...

We spent 7 nights at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although our 1 bedroom apartment (Rose 2) needed renovation. The TV was an old tube version and was virtually unviewable, which wasn't so bad as there was nothing to watch on it except Indonesian TV anyway! There was Australia Channel at the bar, so able to watch the...

After scouring the internet for a few hours; looking for a hotel that offered a comfortable, clean and peaceful environment, I came across Medewi Bay Retreat. As I was intending to travel with my 2 sons (15 & 12) a good restaurant, pool and clean room were my priorities. After travelling to Bali for the past 20 years, we were...

This is our second stay at Medewi Bay Retreat and we loved it more this time. The hotel is older style however most rooms are brand new or renovated. They are large and spacious and well appointed. The hotel is 2.5 hrs from the airport and relatively remote so come prepared for relaxation and solitude. The Medewi point beach is...

Great weather & a great pool greeted us at this retreat, however it was at least 2 hours drive to get to any tourist locations. Our sheets had blood on them when we arrived & where not changed for another 9 nights! We were constantly asking for clean towels to be told they didn't have any dry ones available. The...
