I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Melasti Beach Resort spending Christmas & New Year there. I must admit I enjoyed my holiday in Bali but the resort is getting very tired and needs an urgent renovation and upgrade. The gardens are great, lush and well maintained. On the outside it looks like a typical Balinese...

I was booked to stay for 14 days after Xmas at the Melasti. It was not a pleasant stay and we ended up checking out after 7 days. Stayed in a suite cottage, while they are big, that is the only thing going for them. The walls are paper thin, so we could hear what was going on in the...

Old and dated pool area. Service was poor. Logged a number of complaints about a/c not working and finally after 2 days got moved. Breakfast was average. I believe you would be better looking for an alternative hotel for the money paid.

Stayed a week between Xmas and new year. After staying here in 1999, thought we would upgrade our standard rooms to a suite. Found the suites have not been maintained or renovated in 15 years. On arrival found our room had no hot water. After complaining numerous times the problem was not dealt with until I confronted the owner of...

Just returned from 9 days at Melasti. Location good. We stayed in a cottage suite which is a great size (requested ground floor but when we got there it was no longer available - booked in July 2013 and ended up having to walk up 3 flights of stairs). We are not usually fussy but the linen definately needs replacing....

Power points removed replaced with thick wire directly out of the wall. Wall lights cut off so no lights near bed in second room. Two showers (?) in each bathroom: one in bath then another semi shower with curtain built next to main shower so if you have a child that needs help you end up with a bad back....

We stayed at the Melasti in November, we loved the beach front location and the spacious room/ cottage but I would not stay there again. The staff were helpful and friendly, but that is not enough. The breakfast is very limited and the range of foods quite strange... cold chicken nuggets, cold pancakes (every 2nd day) and there wasnt one...
