Wow. Great value for money, unbeleivable food, terrific setting, great snorkelling, no hassles. We only stayed for 2 nights and wish we stayed much longer. We booked both Villas for our family of 6. After our fist meal we decided we were going to have all our meals at the Villa because it was so good. After the hectic Kuta...

My wife and I were amoungst the very first guests at Villa Gading back in Oct 2000 for our honeymoon. We both came home from that trip knowing a return visit was always on the cards. It did take us 12 long years but to have finally returned and be accompanied by our two daughters was a long held ambition...

We have stayed at Villa Gading many times now since our first visit in 2003 and it still continues to charm and relax us. We love the peacefulness and authentic family/village feel about the property and surrounds, not to mention the friendly and gracious hospitality of the staff. Our friends Kaye and Gading who own the property always go out...

Having been to Bali on numerous occasions before, staying at Villa at Gading has proven yet again to be the most memorable and rejuvenating. If relaxing away from quiet tourist areas is your thing and if being immersed in authentic Balinese culture appeals to you then Villa Gading will surely not disappoint. The family run Villas are quaintly furnished and...

It was the Bali we fell in love with 18 years ago! The relaxed, warm, friendly Indonesia, its people with a sincere smile and welcoming face. When we arrived we were delighted to find Villa Gading even better than in the Photo’s. We had exclusive use of the property, no hustle and bustle, No hawkers and we enjoyed strolling up...

This was our first time in Indonesia, and Villa Gading was perfect for us. The quiet surroundings, away from the tourist places, the beautiful garden, the friendly and competent staff, The delicious food. Everything was very much to our satisfaction. We relaxed a lot in the garden, but also took guided trips on the island, with the family´s excellent guide....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Gading is located right on beautiful Balina Beach, within 5 minutes of Candi Dasa and Padang Bai. We have only two villas, or “lumbungs” based on the style of a Balinese rice barn. However the fittings are of the highest standard, with essential extras such as a mini bar, CD/radio, hair dryer, etc. Each villa consist of a bedroom with king size bed upstairs, and downstairs there are two day beds that can convert to single beds at night. The bathroom is partially indoors, partially outdoors, a blend of sparkling white tiles and traditional Balinese carving and ferns.Villa Gading is ideally set up for 1 or 2 couples or families and is a place where our guests can relax and treat our place as their home in Bali. There is no need to fight to get the best lounge by the pool, or be just one of a hundred guests. ... more   less

“Go to relax, read the book "A Little bit One O'clock, Living with a Balinese Family" while your there. And why bother eating out at night, when the food is so good there. Gading and his brother will take you for day trips from the Villa, you don't need to hassle with taxi drivers.”

“Even if you are only one couple, you will have the whole place to yourself. I.e. no other guests will stay in the 2nd dwelling. Only the family will be there. Don't expect white beaches on this stretch of the coast.”
