Our room was at the very top of the hotel and we arrived early in the evening in time to watch the sun set, with Mount Agung to one side of us and the sea stretching out in front. It was wonderful to fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves. We stayed for 2 days and ate in...

It would not be fair to comment on the amenities or service in this hotel as our scheduled eight day stay coincided with a severe weather event that compromised the infrastructure and operation of normal routines and we had to leave after four days. However the rapid, decisive and generous response of the owners exceeded our expectations and the above rating...

We will be back. We booked for two and stayed for three. Having stayed at Blue Moon Villas, which we highly recommend too, on a previous holiday Bayu did not disappoint. By comparison it is a well priced hotel with spectacular views from the balconies, swimming pool and dining area. We were greeted in the morning by the noises of...

We stayed for 4 nights in early December and enjoyed every moment. Our room #4 was at the top floor with a nice balcony and a panoramic view of the sea, Mt Agung and the village. In the evening, we enjoyed the beautiful colors of the sky. It was also nice sitting there early in the morning looking at the...

Amed is a little fishing village that's learning how to accommodate tourists. It doesn't have the experience or the structures as the more popular and more frequently visited places such as Legian and Kuta. It has grown in hotels and services over the past 5 years and I'm sure it will grow even more. I didn't see any flashy places...

We stayed in Bayu for a week and it was lovely although a week in Lipah is plenty. Location - the hotel is located right at the end of Lipah beach, not waterfront, slightly elevated with lovely views. The road is not a great problem however sleeping with an open balcony door is impossible as the road does get noisy...

I always research and plan our holidays very carefully and Trip Advisor is a major factor in the final decision on where to stay and until now it had always proved an excellent information source but I have reread many of the TA member reviews of Bayu Cottages and it is as though they and the Bayu Cottages website are...

Bayuhotel, Owner at Bayu Cottages Hotel and Restaurant, responded to this review

Thank you for your review. Excessive traffic noise, produced either by “boy racers” or up-powered trucks, is indeed a growing concern and nuisance. With other hotel owners and managers in the Amed area we’ve been negotiating with village chiefs and eldermen, police officers and the Bali Tourism Board to find ways to act against this illegal use of motor vehicles....

Ah, what a lovely stay we had at Bayu! From the arrival welcome to our checkout we had a great time. Room facilities were very clean, welcoming and thoughtful. Breakfasts and meals were tasty. Service was delightful from a friendly group of local personnel. And location was so convenient to an excellent snorkeling place - 5 minutes walk. There was...

Bayu cottages was truly fantastic. It is situated just above the beach at Lipah in Amed. The room was very good, overlooking the ocean. and the beach was simply a walk down a path right opposite the villa.
