Good Karma is one of my favorite place. The place is very comfortable, quiet and unique. Its location away from the crowds, a little difficult to find, but you can ask the locals. Good Karma has a private beach with a natural stone wall. Wooden bungalows on the beach, natural tree, and you can see the beach at any time,...

After a 3 -day stay in Singaraja (and lots of rain) we decided to stay at Good Karma Bungalows in Amed. It was a recommendation from other travellers we met on Sulawesi. It was a big mistake. The bamboo Huts are in a very bad condition already, bathroom and toilette needs a renovation immediately. Chicken and Cocks behind the bungalows...

On our holiday break in October, we chose to stay in Good Karma (based on recommendations) and I absolutely loved it. The bungalows are directly at the beach. The bungalow itself is spacious enough for 2 people, with an outdoor bathroom. I loved waking up here in the morning: sunrise, sounds of the ocean, reading a book in the hammock...

The first time we came and stayed at Good Karma was in 2012. And last weekend we returned and stayed a bit longer (sept 18-20, 2015). We arrive in Amed at 01:00 AM and we could not remember just how far the place is! But it was ok because after midnight there was no traffic at all and we drove...

500rp ($50) for a beach hut with no amenities.Budget accommodation for too dollar prices! Rude staff. Bad vibe, unfriendly. Very poor food at average prices. This place is not somewhere I would recommend to anyone I liked. Once there, the resident taxi driver charges extortionate prices to get anywhere, as he knows he has a monopoly.

Fantastic spacious bungalows with the sea as your garden! Hammock, outside shower both front and back, ideal spot for some good r&r - loved it Downside: quite far from other restaurants, without a scooter hard to reach. Staff weren't that friendly - they indicated they were bored because few tourists.

Good Karma has unique place and service, the restaurant very good serving fish curry, and the bungalow very peace, even my phone no signal here,so perfect for holiday. The sounds of the wave very relaxing, but sometime feel very loud in the night. The hustle bustle fishing boat in early morning from departure to reaching back and got the fish from the ocean very interesting.Baba, the owner...

Nice and calm place to rest off hazzle and fuzz from Seminyak and a perfect hub before moving further to Gili. Friendly staff and lots of opportunities to get arrangements of any kind. However, the beachfront was occasionally filled with floating garbage, which made snorkling an undelightfull experience.

To be honest I didn't expect much considering its rate. I just need a Nyepi getaway place and Amed seems like a good idea. It didn't take long time for me to fall in love with this place; the hut, hammock, banyan trees, jukung (traditional boat) and sounds of busy fishermen early morning after Nyepi. Let alone the good service,...

The place is wonderful - friendly stuff, nice location and food. The only "minus" is that the beach is crowded with boats after 5 pm. Recommended for backpackers and tight budget travelers. I'd rate it quality/price as 8/10. Check dates for bungalows in advance, because you can get the higher price for bigger bungalows.
