I stayed here recently for more than a week with my daughter. Being that it was the shoulder season, we almost had the place to ourselves at times. The hotel is small, and the superior rooms are very nice and are well-situated (close to the...More

It's about 10-15 minutes walk around a headland and down to a village which has 2-3 restaurants. There is also the best snorkelling here- better than the Japanese shipwreck. The resort itself has quite a decent restaurant perched up high with great views. Or drive to the next village. Cafes are dotted all along the Amed coast now. The main place of interest is the sea itself. The view and what's underneath. Not great beaches compared to Melbourne. Black sand. But the fishing boats are very colourful. Mt Agung looks fantastic in the distance.
