My wife and I had chicken cordon bleu, which for both of us was severely under cooked. When we pointed this out, the waiter first tried to get out of it, but on our insistence, took it back and then when he brought it back looked like he put it in the microwave. The cocktails are suspicious as well, avoid...

Out of the multitude of choices to eat at, this one is hard to miss on a Saturday at night as they had a group playing live western music, everything from John Lennon to Sting. If they missed out on a few notes it was made up with the sheer enthusiasm and difficulty of some of the song they tackled....

Amed is a relaxed coastal strip in the shadow of Mount Agung on the eastern point of Bali, famed for diving sites such as the USS Liberty shipreck. It is becoming increasingly popular now that there are fast boats to and from the Gilis that make the trip in 60-90 minutes. In addition to the village of Amed itself, the...

We stayed at Wawa Wewe Rock Resort for 2 nights. The pool and view was amazing, the people very helpful and friendly, dinner pretty good but breakfast very average. It was a budget hotel, you get what you pay for. The outdoor bathroom was nice but no hot water. I was quite happy with the hotel until we had no...

There are four Wawa Wewe's in the Amed area. My partner booked "Rock" (she thinks), but they let us stay at the Villas (2). Rock is right down the Eastern end at Lipah Beach... still a lovely place and very intimate. At Bangunan (no real beach here) you will find Wawa Wewe II Villas (you have to go down a...

Bungalows located apart from the center of Amed. Very quiet, then ocean can be heard, which is rocky, and the overflow pool is like being in paradise. The bathroom in each bungalow is almost like if you were outside, but still with walls around so people don't see you : no roof above the shower, I loved it! Don't be...

Whilst staying in Bali for a month, my partner and I took a weekend away in Amed and booked this place for a night. We booked a family room with extra beds to have more room, however this did not benefit us as the other beds were not set up, and if a family had been travelling, the 'extra' bed...

I had a sea view bungalow, which was perfect. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is semi outdoor - and I love that! The food...well...I have had many Satay Ayam (Chicken Sate), but this one was the best I've ever tasted. And also the peanut sauce...yummmm. A fellow traveller was curious after I told her this...she tasted and shared my...

Spending my day wandering around Amed and decided to spend the night to witness sunrise so we both decided to stay. Browse and searching for hastags on insragrams, we think this resort is quite nice so we wind up there. First, the room is not specifically clean. Dusty and found some spider web (let's not talk about the spider since...

Have now stayed here 3 times on trips to Amed. Excellent value for money with the most amazing views from the ocean view rooms or anywhere near the pool. The staff have always been really friendly to us without being intrusive. The restaurant serves nice food at cheap prices although we do walk up the hill for dinner at Griya...
